I care much less about Kristi Noem’s husband’s sexual fetishes and much more about who leaked the photos and why they were released now. When blackmail material is released publicly, it loses its value as private leverage but gains value as a tool of public pressure (character assassination, reputational damage, preemptive discrediting, etc). So a key question now is: was this a foreign operation or is someone potentially trying to discredit Kristi Noem/her husband in anticipation of something they might have to say?

There are other possibilities, too, of course. It could just be some disgruntled former friend or colleague, or someone who doesn’t like what Noem did at DHS, or a media hit job for clicks, or, concerningly, it could be part of a larger op and this could be a way to send a message. Given that the FBI director’s email was just hacked and his personal photos and documents were released online, there’s at least some reason to be concerned about that possibility.

Please tell me: what can I do better to assimilate? To finally become a good migrant? The president is right. The 14th Amendment was originally intended to embrace slaves and the children of slaves. Its passage in 1868, made it unconstitutional to deny citizenship to all children born here. Example: Despite odious attempts over the years to deny them, all Native Americans are (the original) citizens. So are all other babies who in Bruce Springsteen’s words were “Born in the USA.”
