@FoodProfessor I love how we fund a government agency about $1B per year with our taxes. Yet the left, instead of calling for heads to roll at CFIA, want governments to now open stores. If they can’t run an agency, how would they run stores?

@penkiunas_m @FoodProfessor I am sure they have built that into the price per kilo. This was pure laziness on behalf of the packager. Much faster to process and get it into the coolers to sell.

@FoodProfessor The weight of the styrofoam tray or the cry-o-vac bag is not the end of the world. Might set me back 50 bucks a year. Paying for all the fluids accumulated in the packaging is the real culprit and has a hefty cost over the course of a year.

@FoodProfessor So where are the regulators? Not doing the job they are paid to do! Just like every other government employee in Canada. Only way to stop paying into the system. It not going into work . A workers strike would tell establishment employees. Taxpayers have had enough!

You are removing everything it doesn't recognise. You are giving the body the one diet it has spent the entirety of its existence learning to run on. The improvements are not the body responding to something new. They are the body responding to the absence of something wrong. Everything you need. None of the baggage. So maybe don't call it a diet. Call it a factory reset.

I am baffled about what @MarilynGladuSL thought crossing the floor would accomplish. As a member of the opposition, an MP might not be able to promote her goals as much as if she was in the government party. But you have the support of like-minded people, resources made available to you, and you've actually got a pretty big soapbox on which to stand and promote your values. And your opposition is in front of you. When you cross the floor, you've got opposition on all four sides of you. You probably won't be trusted to speak much, so opportunities to promote any causes or values that are important to you will be much fewer. You've betrayed any values you may have had to support a party that is obviously not above immoral underhanded tricks to accumulate power. To achieve what? More immoral goals and policies? The Liberal Party wants your vote--that's it. The rest of the time, sit down, shut up, and vote how the party tells you to vote.
