@ewangibbs There wasn’t an airport near us. Airports must have felt exciting when flying was still such a big event.

Did anyone else ever get taken to the airport as a day out? I can remember my mum took me and my brother and sister just to see the planes when we were not ourselves flying. This was pre-9/11 and flying was less common.

@paul_jkrause People love stories. But at what point do we start thinking about the stuff we are reading instead of just consuming? The piles of the books I’ve read so far is huge, and I just went on to the next one most of the times.

Why is Plato so memorable and fun to read? He told stories to get us thinking.

@Dostoevskyquot This movie feels felt to me that way. It works more visually and atmospheric than a Dostoevsky novel but similar to the struggles his characters suffered through.

Hello to my friends in Germany. This week Nuremberg opens in cinema’s. I hope you go and see it.

The legend of Sete Cidades with princess Antilia and a shepherd are connected to Antillia and other Atlantic islands myths. Influenced by thinkers like Carl Jung (and as an attempt to explain the world + emotions) we see them symbolic as a paradise that cannot survive reality.

Some say the island disappeared. And somehow the legend of Sete Cidades blurred into a love story about a princess and a shepherd.
