He’s talented, smart, knows the league and the lay of the land. He’s a good man and a competitor who will have the basketball world talking about the A10 once more

We are excited to be in the tournament and YES we are excited about going to Portland. A city that I have always enjoyed being in! As a matter of fact, one of the best players we have ever coached Terrence Jones was from there. Looking forward to the trip, even though it is quite a distance!

In Nashville, had to stop at @TheRealJeffRuby for dinner! Kids loved it. They never fail to impress!

What an incredible night in Bud Walton Arena we had last night! Tyson Foods rolls out their new jersey patch sponsorship, Nolan Richardson is in the building to find out a statue of him is being built to be placed outside the arena, our crowd was unbelievable, our students were out in full force, not only did our team play great but how about our two seniors??? So happy for TB and Nick to have such great games in their last time playing inside Bud Walton. Thank you to all who made last night special by showing up and supporting this team! So happy for Coach Richardson and such a well deserved honor.

Just heard the news about Coach Holtz. First time I met him he was coaching at South Carolina and I was in town on a recruiting trip, I spent an hour with him in his office talking about leadership, management, recruiting. He was a great recruiter, incredibly organized and extremely gracious with his time that day. It was incredible. I also coached in a league with his son Skip. Terrific coach and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. It was a pleasure meeting him again last year when he was honored at Arkansas. My condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.

The partnership that was announced today with the jersey patches with Tyson Foods is an enormous boost to all of us in the athletic department. More importantly for me personally is my friendship with Tyson Foods and my good friend John Tyson! Thank you @TysonFoods

I just heard that Mitch Barnhart is retiring. I wanted to say even though Mitch and I didn’t always see eye to eye he did a good job and I wish he and Connie well in retirement.

Tomorrow night is Trevon Brazile and Nick Pringles last home game as a Razorback! Instead of having a senior night recognition they both have said they don’t want the game to be about them they would rather make it about our team. Even though we are not having a ceremony for them before the game I ask that when their names are called during introductions that you give them a well deserved welcome for their last home game. They will be the last two names called in the lineups!

This is my first trip to UF since Mr Donovan’s passing. He always greeted me at the arena with a hug and a smile and a kind word. What a good man! Prayers to the family. RIP my friend

My Daughter Erin turns 39 tomorrow! I can still remember the bumpy ride to the Magee womens hospital in Pittsburgh that day. So proud of her journey. Her hard work, a competitive spirit and her caring heart shine through. Cant wait to see her next chapters. Love you baby girl. Happy birthday!

Normally I would travel to the NBA All-Star weekend, but with our late game last night and a road game coming up, I am not going to make it to Los Angeles today. It’s a great weekend to celebrate the successes of our young men and the families who have trusted us with their sons. I was looking forward to seeing Reed Sheppard who was selected to the Rising Stars game and Arkansas’ own Bobby Portis, who was in the three-point contest, as well as the six All-Stars who I coached: Devin Booker, Tyrese Maxey, Jamal Murray, Karl-Anthony Towns, De’Aaron Fox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who won’t be able to play.   Congratulations to you all on the great first half of your season and I hope you and your families have enjoyed every second of your special weekend! Thank you for all that you have done for my programs and for all that you do to grow our game!

Its my Dad’s 93rd birthday today. The ultimate grinder who was a baggage handler at the airport into his 70’s. He was also a relationship builder throughout his journey. He’s still active and healthy. Keep being you dad. Love you. Happy birthday
