My belly button is a thumb knuckle deep. I want to be able to throw keys into keyholes while standing at improbable distances away.

@Cobeyy1987 Didn't say anyone should be. But clearly there was a question about it for anyone paying attention... x.com/MattParrino/st…

What happens if the Bills get to the playoffs and Matt Milano isn't playing at the level they need him to be? What if Dorian Williams is a better option? I asked Sean McDermott about that tough potential decision. Here's his entire answer.

There are two ways to write for the c-suite:
1) Be their resource.
- Anticipate their needs
- Speak their language
- Give them info they can put into action
The problem with this? It's hard to execute.
The writer needs to think like the c-suite — and it's hard to find someone of that caliber who's also willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work.
2) Be the resource they forward to their team.
- Anticipate a business's needs
- Say the things leadership wishes they could say
- Give them info that they want to send their team
The problem? It's hard to set the vision for this.
...But it's not impossible.
A CEO would be wise to sit down with their marketing/writing team, tell them their pain points, and offer a starting point for news and info.
Execution is then relatively easy. Leadership's pain points inform the content strategy. The writer then writes for their peers.
The end product? A resource the CEO sees and thinks, "Yes! This is exactly the advice for how my team can better do their jobs."
I think there's an underserved opportunity across many industries to focus on being the forwardable resource.
I see too many B2B newsletters that claim to be for the CEO or CMO, but it's clearly written by an entry- or mid-level writer.
They're better off repositioning to serve mid-level managers instead.

Using REGEX in Google Search Console is like having keyword-research super powers 💪
Last year, I discovered a set of keywords, thanks to GSC.
Found my competitor's URL on it that is probably generating 50k-100k PVs/month.
Yes, now I rank #1.
Here's how to find these 👇
