As always, people like you are the cancer that doesn't allow defi and chain activity to grow, instead you want to be full corporate like web2 tard, instead of seeking easier way to onboard newcomers. Everyday there is newcomers onchain, who are seeking how to use defi. But you are killing it with the idea of competiting with established institutions.

90% of the takes on Aave here are brain dead and fail to account for the changing crypto market structure. For Aave to win, it needs to win enterprises. DeFi-native distribution is reaching its limits and its clear the next wave of users are entering through established fintechs / exchanges. The Aave service providers have clearly excelled at growing an onchain native business, but winning the enterprise vertical is entirely different. Enterprises do NOT want to work directly with a DAO Aave needs a leader with resources, connections, and latitude to prioritize the features that enterprises need. Stani is the only possible candidate. Pushing out Aave Labs would be the end of Aave long term. It would be accepting that Aave is only for DeFi-natives, and losing the enterprise game is losing everything.

I'm not gonna lie, this sounds really bearish for me by 2 reasons. If the quantum computer can break a private key, it will also break his quantum power, so better the attacker target a big wallet (aka satoshi wallet). But if Satoshi wallet do the upgrade, then that mean he is alive. As soon as satoshi does the upgrade, the market gonna nuke, like litteraly nuke.

Extra explainer: An HD wallet is a wallet that controls many derived addresses with a single seed phrase. Whenever you send BTC, you publish the public key onto the blockchain so that address is now quantum vulnerable (quantum computers can crack a private key from a public key). So whenever you send BTC, a good HD wallet should move the remaining coins to a new address inside the series of HD addresses controlled by the wallet, hence the public key holding the coins are never revealed. HD wallets have been around for a while, the update they need is to do the last step. Also to never publish your xpub (a way to derive all of your public keys in an HD wallet). @jprichardson

The fastest way for Bitcoin's infrastructure to prepare for post-quantum is for BTC wallets to move to HD wallets with transaction policy tweaks. This can be implemented quickly without a protocol update and is very cheap on blockchain space.

@vaneck_us Interesting point of view, like your diversification on exploring bitcoin mining company as a result to get direct exposure to bitcoin rather than buying it. My question is around Ethereum, would you start running your own nodes too ?

LORD MILES MADE $60,000 ON HIS OWN POLYMARKET Lord Miles is a British adventurer who attempted a 40-day fast in the Saudi Arabian desert. Polymarket created a market on whether he would finish this. Lord Miles bet thousands of dollars against himself completing the fast. He is up over $60,000 while failing to complete his 40-day fast.

Do you at least admit the spam problem would be WAY WAY worse without a block weight limit? I don't see how node operators are victims of spam. Bitcoin has a block weight limit, which means node operators expect 4 million units of weight per block, no matter how much spam there is. If anything, some types of spam, like large images, makes it slightly easier for node operators The victims of spam are people who want to use Bitcoin for payments, but have to pay more fees to outbid the spam. This is a functional market, where spammer and victim bid against each other for block space. This is the solution to spam. There are some unfortunate instances, like price booms in NFTs, causing fee spikes. But NFTs are stupid and a poor investment, such that the capital is lost and then they don't cause many fee spikes again.

After a decade of working on 14-15" laptops because of nomadism, I'm finally geeking out and preparing a proper home setup for myself Considering a massive 55" screen like this: Anyone using something similar already with feedback? I am overcompensating? 😅
