I fully understand Hendrickson not wanting to do this. But if the Bengals weren’t budging he needed to get as much as he could now and hit the FA market as soon as possible. Not ideal, but he can put together another great year and cash in further.

Agree there. Including guarantees in 2026 seems like the compromise. The caveat would be, I guess, that we don't know how big the signing bonus offered is. If it's huge a la Orlando Brown, that could be the Bengals thinking they're compromising already.

@JakeLiscow If Trey plays well, and there is 0 reason to believe that he wont, then he is on the roster next year on the new contract for sure. If that is the case, then there is no reason not to guarantee the second year. 0 reason at all. This is so damn stupid. Just guarantee year 2.

Florio told @Dan_Hoard that if Burrow wouldn’t have wanted to play for the Bengals if he wasn’t from Ohio He said it was a FACT which is ridiculous for two reasons 1. No hypthocal can be a fact 2. It assumes that Florio know Burrow and how his mind works at a personal level
