What does “taped out” means? It comes from back in the day when the design for a chip would be written out to tape and sent to the fab for manufacturing. These days the design is sent out over the internet, but the term stuck. So Elon is saying the AI5 design is validated; finalized and sent over to TSMC and Samsung. Exciting!

Hackers linked to Russia have breached hundreds of email accounts belonging to Ukrainian prosecutors and investigators The operation is attributed to the group Fancy Bear. According to Reuters, more than 170 accounts were compromised in Ukraine. Overall, over a year and a half (from autumn 2024 to March 2026), at least 284 email accounts were hacked. Other countries were also affected — Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, and Serbia. The breach was uncovered by accident: the hackers themselves left a server with attack logs and thousands of stolen emails exposed. Their goal was to monitor Ukrainian investigations, gather compromising material, and stay ahead of those trying to uncover Russian agents. Notably, even countries not considered strong opponents of Moscow were targeted.
