1/ In Feb. I took on the role of Chief Advancement Officer for the Lutheran Education Foundation. I kept the Activities Director role @LLActivities wearing multiple hats until this past week. I had great people around me with a supportive wife, kids, & family.

Major League Baseball has clearly surpassed the NBA as the second most popular pro sport. The WBC is an enormous hit, the pitch clock has sped up and improved games, and baseball is rolling. Now the downside, will MLB blow all this goodwill up with a long strike? Hope not.

Here's why: - 3 baseball fields in the middle of nowhere that PRINT CASH. - Teams pay $1k to play & parents pay $20 to park - $16 margaritas - $13k/night to rent out - 320 acres - Ever hear of Graford, TX? Population 706? Of course not! That's because it's right next to POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE. (These are all real things.) Did your game get rained out? Sorry, no refunds, but you're welcome to swim in our pool or eat in our restaurant or drink our $16 margs. Or play some disc golf, or shoot some birds, or hey, get married while you're here. One stop shop. I love everything about this whole setup. The founder bought the property in 2005 and it was nothing more than a run down horse barn. Today it's a thriving 8 figure destination that draws families from all over Texas. "If you build it they will come?" Well, not usually, but in this case, yes, actually. Only in Texas...

@alphafox My little experience in TX showed me that many folks can’t park in their garage because it’s full of belongings. And, the belongings spill out of the house into the garage because there are few basements..

If only they had a garage they could park in...

Said this before & I’ll say it again… there’s ZERO reason to be using a brand new ball for state tournament games 🏀 I have a hunch the shooting %’s we are seeing (girls & boys) are somewhat affected by the ball itself. IYKYK Not a lot of “friendly rolls” or “shooters touch” shots finding the bottom of the net ❌ #nebpreps
