Kass will be based in NJ starting in 2022, but the job will include travel through the region for extension talks and conservation plan development, so I’m sure we’ll see her again soon. 🌾🐝🚗🚗👩🌾🙋🚗🚗🐝🌻

It's official, NSF has funded our "Bees of the World" project, which seeks to investigate global bee phylogeny and evolution using phylogenomic techniques. The team includes @PhyloSolving @thecriticalbee @DanforthLab and collabs.

Each module consists of Background ( written for teachers), Vocabulary, Activities ( to introduce students to the biology of solitary bees), and Resources ( materials for use in the classroom!).

we might be biased, but Silas is an expert at entertaining, detailed, and complex presentations, and his figures pretty much always blow us out of the water. Silas has taken many of these high-res bee photos himself!
