The momentum of World TB Day continues—on the ground, where it matters most. In #BaguioCity, Philippines our partners came together to drive a focused initiative for jeepney, e-jeep, and taxi drivers—one of the city’s backbone communities. Drivers were provided access to free chest X-rays, with screenings supported by AI-assisted TB detection, while also being connected to care through PhilHealth Konsulta - a comprehensive primary care benefit package providing outpatient services. This is what meaningful intervention looks like—bringing early detection and access to care closer to those who need it most. Organized by the BCYA (Baguio Center for Young Adults) in partnership with the AIHO (Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes) along with the City Government and healthcare partners, the initiative reflects the kind of collaboration needed to address TB at scale—where intent translates into real action on the ground. As we move closer to hashtag#WorldTBDay, it brings into focus how TB screening is evolving on the ground. Where speed and access play a critical role in moving patients from suspicion to diagnosis. At DeepTek, this journey spans 3 million+ screenings across 800+ sites in 20+ countries—each deployment shaped by the realities of local healthcare systems. In collaboration with @UNOPS and with local support from Access Spectrum, DeepTek’s AI-powered lung health screening platform Genki has been deployed across multiple sites including Yangon, Mandalay, and Taunggyi. These deployments combine fixed and ultra-portable X-ray systems—helping extend screening beyond traditional facilities and closer to communities. With an incidence rate of 558 per 100,000 population (2023) and nearly 50,000 deaths each year, Myanmar continues to face a significant TB burden—making early and accessible screening critical. In the remote tribal belt of Chhattisgarh’s Kartala district, healthcare access isn’t just limited — it’s distant. To bridge this gap, William J. Clinton Foundation (WJCF) has taken up this initiative to use DeepTek’s AI-powered End to End Public Health Screening Platform– #Genki, paired by Ultra Portable Device by @adonismedical to enable TB screening, even in low-infrastructure or offline settings. This project supported by @StopTB TBReach Wave 11 grant is helping ensure that timely diagnosis reaches the most remote corners to help in early identification of TB related abnormalities. Our Co-founder Ajit Patil and CTO Ashutosh Pathak, together with Al-Furat Consultancy, discussed proposals to enhance oncology care in #Iraq through #AI—focusing on introducing advanced solutions, training healthcare professionals, and improving treatment outcomes across oncology centers in Baghdad and other provinces.
