With other UN agencies, governments and communities, together we assess damage and risks, and facilitate a fast and effective response. Infrastructure is at the heart of the #SDGs and central to #ClimateAction – so the choices we make today will shape development and climate outcomes for generations to come. That’s very much the case in central, eastern and south-eastern Europe. As economic ties deepen, infrastructure will play a vital role in narrowing development gaps, supporting EU accession processes and strengthening the resilience of systems. But while strategies and financing around infrastructure are coming together, the real challenge still lies in implementation.
