A year ago, I was only out of the hospital for a few months after nearly dying and spending two months indoors getting antibiotics 38 times a day. My business was destroyed. Now in on pace to have my biggest year ever by a factor of 5, and I’ve spent as much time as possible with my kids. Lots of people supported me in a variety of ways, including clients, family members, and fellow degens here helping me raise almost 20 grand to stay afloat. I can’t wait to pay it forward. And if anyone is having a hard time today, anything can happen tomorrow. Never tap out! With that said, our country is spending more on the interest on our debt, than our entire country is worth. So the empire is going to collapse and you may need to learn to hunt or kill people to survive the apocalypse. This started as a very positive poast. I gotta order more ammo.

So, I don’t know who is advising you, but… Defamation is not protected speech, and once published…the liability arises, regardless of whether the post is later deleted. In regard to “Spoliation of Evidence,” this refers to destroying data that is material to a pending or imminent lawsuit, but simply removing a public post does not necessarily destroy the evidence, as the journalists can keep records. Courts or parties (such as the attorneys who have sent you this letter) often encourage retraction or deletion to minimize damages. Whereas, refusing to delete can be viewed as continuing malice or aggravating the libel. Especially, when the retraction was handled in the manner in which this retraction was handled…as a means to attempt to make a profit, retractions are not meant to be profitable. To protect themselves from a lawsuit, journalists often remove defamatory content. You would know this, though…if you were even the slightest bit of a journalist. I recommend reading this article, although many law reviews have written on this…extensively.
