Keeping Tennesseans safe is my top priority, and the progress we've made in Memphis shows what’s possible when local, state, and federal leaders work together to strengthen our communities. I’m honored to have the endorsement of the mayors of Millington, Collierville, Lakeland, Germantown, Arlington, and Bartlett. As Governor, we’ll continue our work together to make certain that not only Memphis is the safest city in America, but Tennessee is the very best state to live, work, and rear a family!

Dr Boyce Watkins - Wealth is Power
The Democrats are the party of the KKK but we also know that black people became Democrats when Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. What they also don't remember was when Johnson said that this act would have niggas voting Democrat for the next 200 years. Stop trying to tell me that the Democrats are not racist. They're just as racist as the Republicans. I don't want to be a nigga. I want to be a winner.

Looks like Penny Hardaway visited Donelson Elementary in Arlington yesterday. Hardaway watched 2nd-grade students present their sports analysis reports based off March Madness results, and even held a press conference with the students. Really cool stuff. (📸 via @ACS_System)

Before the Memphis Safe Task Force, residents could not walk outside without fear of being robbed, assaulted, or murdered as criminals and gangs turned neighborhoods into war zones.   Under President Trump, those days are in the rearview mirror.

First of all, Stephen A. Smith isn't wrong about the city of Nashville, it's growing and people love their sports... right now they're working on getting MLB. When it comes to NBA, Seattle is the FIRST team that needs their team back. Washington is a basketball state, that never should have even lost their team. Nashville is great but when it comes to hoops, Seattle state should be far above any city getting NBA.
Awful Announcing@awfulannouncing

Nashville is "a thriving city in the United States of America… I’m certainly not advocating that Memphis loses a team…but in the same breath, you wonder about Nashville comparing that to Seattle." – Stephen A. Smith on NBA expansion cities

Not sure why these weirdos feel they always want to put that lying statement that any other coach would have been fired when Pastner missed two straight NCAA tourneys and they were bringing him back. Tell the truth you want to say that any other black coach would be dismissed
Geoff Calkins@geoff_calkins

I wrote about the Penny Hardaway situation last week. It all still applies. To wit: Anybody but Penny would be dismissed, of course. But he is Penny, civic icon. And apathy is so entrenched, it's unclear if anyone cares enough to pony up. dailymemphian.com/subscriber/art…

@NakilW @Iam1Cent Bra they fired Josh after 8 years and he had better stats then penny. Only 1 ncaa win is horrible, just move on. Penny is a AAU coach, he better open up his own pockets, otherwise Memphis will remain horrible. This the worse season since 99
