Since 2023, only one school reconfigured from Catholic to Educate Together and it made history - it was the first Catholic school to hand over to Educate Together. simonmlewis.substack.com/p/is-there-rea…

@JamesArchieJO Ireland could join too. Maybe we could make it about actual songs in the new competition?

It’s a lie of course.
Perpetual victimhood.

@citizenOfIre @dailychelsea4 Not many World Cup winners medals knocking around Irish provinces, particularly for Irish internationals now, is there? We wouldn’t be the first Irish winners of the URC wijtout him. He’ll be remembered fondly.

Think this will be Kleyns last season an absolute legend for Munster. Deserves a few years on big wages in france. For Munster a loss but can really sign difference makers in the front row with the money. Leaves Edwin as the only heavy lock which might leave them short.

@CaptSpringbok For sure, but nothing lasts forever. Ireland could have beaten you last week with 12/13 players. Don’t forget that . Arrogance is everyone’s downfall

The Springboks shattered a proverbial glass ceiling on Saturday evening. Something happened that felt like a rugby earthquake - a seismic shift in how this team is viewed. Our scrum, and Rassie’s ruthless clarity in player management, told the story. We had no business pushing for repeated scrums and earning 13 scrum penalties - yet we did, turning down points simply to prove how utterly dominant this team is. The Boks are operating in a different stratosphere to every other side right now. And for the first time, every rugby journalist and pundit agrees: the Springboks are, beyond doubt, the best team in the world.

@kilianjcarroll @jaredwright17 I listened to the entire pod, and in typical fashion, the answers (for them) are products of the big private schools.

@Divided321 @jaredwright17 Who are you talking about? Did you even watch the clip?

Dublin media mafia refuses to look at the issue of Ireland's shortcomings.
Blame the ref, not Ireland's shortcomings.

Anything you would like to hear discussed on the show?

@GridOjaka @jaredwright17 @IrishRugby Please don’t conflate the Leinster Irish rugby media circle jerk with the game in the other provinces. Thanks.
English

@jaredwright17 The Irish need to grow up,are they questioning JN commitment to his job or are they just bitter after losing to SA? - Let Leinster & Ireland recruit an all-Irish coaching staff then we see how far they'll go. These guys are coming across as sore losers @IrishRugby
English

@AindriuR_1 @Caolan_Scully By “bankroll” do you mean the IRFU, ie all FOUR provinces, paying the largest wage bill of any club on the planet?
English

@Caolan_Scully Another reason to spread team from all four provinces. Leinster should tell IRFU they’ll no longer bankroll Irish team to the detriment of their own club goals.
English

Rassie's chuffed.
Why the likes of Felix Jones, Jerry Flannery, Noel McNamara, Donnacha Ryan & Ronan O'Gara are coaching abroad is beyond me.
Irish rugby is suffering by having some of it's brightest minds only help foreign clubs/countries.
Not talked about enough.

Rassie Erasmus in good form today.
Full of praise for Sam Prendergast.
"He's got guts. People are talking about his tackling, that there's maybe a weakness there, but I've seen him go really hard and he's a big boy, and he looks pretty fit."

@Murray_Kinsella Everyone is talking about the sublime Sam Prendergast. This game will be won and lost up front. Our line out has to perform. We have to hold our own scrums. If we can do that, there will be space for the pretty wingers and centres to do damage.
English

@Caolan_Scully ‘We’ve alienated 3 provinces, never play a game outside of Dublin, super charge Leinster paying 75% of their wages, have a head coach who is more concerned about his book launch than the Irish team, Irish rugby media who are his puppets, and we don’t know why we’re losing money’

The IRFU finances update is worrying, but then again, so is the current financial situation across the game
Decreasing TV revenue, inflated player wages, ticket prices and general the cost of living are all major factors at play
Prudence and safety are needed

"We are not comfortable incurring significant deficits but had been prepared to do so in the expectation of material improvements in future broadcasting renewals. Such improvements have not occurred thus far" – Patrick Kennedy (IRFU)

@Kanantaba101 @Inverted_Fool The British army went to Ireland in defence of our UK citizens of NI who were being murdered by the IRA, fucked around and found out, your own fukin fault. Should have done more
