Paul, you’re a bit out of line here. I know Jamie personally. I know X can be polarising, and people often make up their minds about someone based solely on their opinions. That said, there are a lot of young guys putting pressure on the older guys right now, and that’s just how rugby goes. Jamie is the most generous and charitable person I know, particularly when it comes to helping people from poorer communities in Cape Town, and he asks for absolutely nothing in return. He’s also a successful businessman who creates opportunities for and employs many people from those communities.

The Springboks have fielded three different teams so far this year, and we have a massive injury list. Has any team in history had so much depth? The upcoming series against New Zealand and the Nations Championship are great preparation for the expanded World Cup, where more players will be required. Depth across all positions will be vital next year. The only other team at the moment with good depth and fielding heavily rotated teams is France.

Rugby is certainly a dudes sport

Ruben's tackling, ruck work and lineout (both calling and defensive) stats are among the best in the URC. Probably in the Top 3. He's the most complete specialist among this group... Cobus is more of a flank, I think Rassie wants him as an enforcer because of his physicality.

I loved woodwork and got an A in Matric. The only problem is I dropped accounting in Std 7/Grade 9 for it, which at the time was my best subject and I got an A for. I was lazy and worried it would get more difficult, and I enjoyed woodwork because it was easy. Wish I could have done both.
