IMO, Derrick Coleman was too early for the game. An athletic 6’10 strong PF with great agility but there wasn’t as much spacing back for Coleman to be a superstar. He peaked at 20.5pts 11reb 3.5ast but would be more ideal after mid 2000s 🎥@redapples

Or one could say the line made less stops Or teams ran the ball against those teams more because either had elite pass rushers and corners There is so much more that goes into that than just who the d line coach is What do all of those linebackers have in common? Singleton had 140 tackles in 8 starts with the Eagles bf joining Broncos He started 28/34 games in 2 years with Broncos Cashman had over 100 tackles with Houston before joining Minnesota Let’s not act like he turned bums into tacklers He’s been around great coaches and great players He should get the most out of the d line which will help the entire defense But the D line was good last year and the backers sucked because no one was smart enough to play that system

You missed the point, I said he gets all pro production from average LB’s check the stats from Alex Singleton 22-23 163 tackles & 177 (check the all pro backers stats for both those seasons, he surpassed them) 24-25 Blake Cashmen (compare his stats last season to Jordyn Brooks) Brooks had 183 tackles in 17 games Blake had 144 in 13 games (had he played the rest of the season he hits Jordyn Brooks’ numbers who is an ALL Pro Yes?) So I’m saying that we have better LB’s than he’s ever had behind his D-Lines & a better D-Line too! It’ll be special

@AkoyeMedia How do you figure? He has 5 years in the NFL 2021 Rams- no all pro linebackers 2022-23 Broncos- none 2024-25 Vikings- 2 OLB in 24 None in 25

Here's the problem. Most Cowboys fans can admit when it is Dak's fault. The issue is you folks want to make EVERYTHING Dak's fault. "Dak shouldn't play hero ball all the time if they want to win" Dak has to play "hero ball" because his defense was giving it up faster than a thot on prom night. So Dak has to get the offense to outscore the opposing defense and pray his defense can get a stop or keep the other team from scoring 6.
RJH@rjh1656

@hype_phinest Dak is this, Dak is that. He’s everything but successful, but it’s never his fault.

@McCannSportsLaw @Sportico @DanielLibit Lawyers have ruined college sports The vast majority of programs will be nothing more than d3 schools in a decade and football and men’s basketball will be the only sports played at the top 50-60 schools max Everything else will be a club sport or completely dropped

Wow. What a report by @Sportico's @DanielLibit, who reports the NCAA has spent nearly $300 million on legal fees over the last 5 years. I have a few thoughts: 1) There's no reason to expect the NCAA's spending on attorneys will go down significantly in the coming years. If anything, it could climb. For one, billing rates aren't going down at big firms. Also, the NCAA is an attractive target for plaintiffs' attorneys: it has the resources to pay, and the media report on the lawsuits, giving the athletes' attorneys free public relations. Plus, there are tons of courts to sue in, and a ruling in one usually doesn't bind another, meaning it can be a litigation free-for-all. 2) Congress passing, and the President signing, a college sports reform bill would likely preempt a lot of the lawsuits. Except that new law would likely face a bevy of legal challenges—and require the hiring of attorneys: sportico.com/law/analysis/2…. In other words, Congress is not the solution, despite what lobbyists and some members of Congress and, yes, some journalists, will tell you. 3) The only way this changes is if some college athletes are recognized as employees, form a union or multiple unions, and bargain a CBA (or multiple CBAs) with schools and conferences. Terms in a CBA are exempt from antitrust scrutiny. Why don't you see NFL players suing the NFL over the salary cap, or NBA players suing the NBA over max salaries? Because it's all been collectively bargained, so there is no viable antitrust claim. 4) I'll get replies saying something to the effect of, "it's too hard for college athletes to unionize" or "it's too complicated!" After all, which athletes would be employees and which wouldn't? Who would be in the bargaining units (would it be all athletes at a school, all football players in a conference, etc.)? All legitimate questions. But the reality is that unless we find answers to those questions, college sports will remain a mini bar exam playing out in real time. It's great for lawyers. It's great for journalists who write on college sports. And, yes, it's great for sports, labor, antitrust, and IP law professors (though not so great for their employing universities if they are NCAA members). But it's destabilizing and the NCAA and its members are leaving the future of college sports not to the schools or the athletes but to judges.

NEWS: The @NCAA’s latest tax return shows it spent $63.5 million on legal fees in FY25, bringing 5-yr. spending to nearly $300 million. (@WSTrialLaw got $19.6M!) NCAA also spent $372.4M in FY25 legal settlements apart from House. More for @Sportico 👇 sportico.com/leagues/colleg…
