@XavierL30591366 @GhostsSoup It is, you'll find yourself losing almost every speed tie for the game without a scarf, it just becomes an RNG fest. If you're opponent is scarved as a sweeper, you'll always lose unless they're locked into a bad move.

@Hank_Krill @BagelPolling anti-democracy parties are finally reaping what they've sown. And now the only thing that can be said, as Harper put it "the only parties that have an obsession about it are parties no one crosses to" Conservatives are now that party.

@BagelPolling It’s incredibly demoralizing to see the results of the last election essentially stolen via floor crossings. Yea losing bad in an election is one thing, having an election nullified is entirely different. “these people are different than us” vs. “we’ve been cheated”

Some speculative theories: 1. Carney doesn't like the Trudeauites and he enjoys annoying them 2. The dippers are right and Carney is more right wing than he lets on and wants a caucus more inline with his beliefs 3. Carney wants to demoralize the CPC 4. Carney is concerned about national unity and doesn't want to trigger another election before the referendum in AB lest it makes things worse 5. Carney thinks the best long term strategy is to fracture the CPC by demoralizing and breaking the confidence of the base 6. Carney genuinely wants a national unity government 7. Carney is griefing Poilievre specifically 8. Carney is too risk adverse and doesn't want to risk an election 9. Internal liberal polling isn't as good as the public polls 10. Carney personally enjoys the power trip of flipping MP's 11. Carney has specific CPC MP's he wants to defect and hopes by letting someone like Gladu cross it shows the door is open for them 12. Carney wants the NDP to attack him for being too right wing to make him look moderate 13. A continual drip of floor crossers keeps the conversation about Carney and makes it very hard for the opposition
J.J. McCullough@JJ_McCullough

The one thing I don’t understand, however, is why Carney wants to cobble together a razor-thin majority government through a bunch of Conservative floor-crossings instead of just calling a snap election he’d surely win.

@cartersmith6479 @AnthonyCas1116 @jeremyslevin I'm using it to refer to independents and moderate voters in this case. Which you've seen how they feel about democrat leaders versus how they feel about a progressive like Sanders. I'm aware the people they hate(you) also like to identify as centrists, but you aren't one.

@daniel_dsj2110 There was an article some time back that said Sanders represented what a lot of Dems imagined the party was. It captured something true. The party suffers from a big gap bw what it really is and the hope ppl invest in it in a way the GOP doesn’t deal with.

When someone who was this far into the wilderness changes course, it’s probably worth listening to them about what changed their mind so we can better understand how to help change others. Platform policing doesn’t help anyone.

@Pyrehead @ALANTBLACK @coffeebreak_YT Nah it's even worse. Even if you are a cold person lacking empathy, gambling will fuck with you. Because gamblers are like crack addicts except without visible signs. They will lie, steal, bankrupt friends/family to continue their addiction.

@DopperPines618 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee I'm hoping when they add more pokemon over time it's another enclosed section like what they've currently done. That's what the recruit section seems to imply. I'd really enjoy a dynamax format with slaking and weezing.

@DoctorRaven2 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee The issue is that they are 100% adding more Pokemon over time. I don’t really buy this argument because there will still be new players when all Pokemon are (hopefully) in the game. The only reason why they’re not is because the game relies on the drip feed business model.

@DopperPines618 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee But there is a reason to return, multiple reasons, more than any other pokemon game imo. They can and do have more regulations planned which would allow either a different set of pokemon or whatever. They can slowly add items, increase movepool, new cosmetics, missions, etc.

@DoctorRaven2 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee For the game to make money, there needs to be incentive for players to return and not ditch the game after a couple weeks of playing. This decision is 100% for money, not because they’re worried about new players.

@DopperPines618 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee Generally to avoid confusing new players. Bloat and confusion would become even more of a thing if you have 550 pokemon, 50+ items, in the game and people sharing clips of them fighting. With presumably no way to earn them. I would be confused

@DoctorRaven2 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee Okay but why is any of this an excuse to not put more Pokemon into the game? None of what you're talking about is about bloat. You're just describing your personal issues with the game.

@gypsymagic24 @davidallenwest @dkreative1 There's no gap to fill. If 30% of people dying are CPC voters migration or not they'll continue to be 30% of the population. Libs would just in theory lose some voters to NDP

@CherylHoste @davidallenwest @dkreative1 I mean at this death rate CPC ain't gaining any margins. Liberals would in theory just be losing them to others. Their % of deaths match their predicted federal results nearly 1 to 1.

@DopperPines618 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee I quit gen 5 more so for at the time I was expecting more from the next entry. Dragon was insanely op in gen 4, I was absolutely expected a new type to counter it and was very disappointed, also new pokemon only was lame to me. Getting back in afterwards was annoying tho.

@DopperPines618 @AlikzHewitt @DreamyWeegee Unironically yes. I stopped playing pokemon at gen 5. Never could get back into it, because by gen 6 my biggest complaint of the franchise was bloat making it really hard to get back into.

@christoaivalis I don't think Carney voters feel like they've been duped. Seen some calling him a progressive on social issues and conservative on econ/foreign policy. And I think the average lib voter is happy with that sadly.
