@rustyforklift @TTomcat98632 There's about 6 different 3D platformers that sold over 10m I think. I agree it'd sell horribly on a sony platform, it's more so for the average COD fan now. But lets be real not like BK would sell well anywhere. Possibly not even on the Switch 1 or 2.

Their record success was a success regardless of covid tho it turned the fastest selling console into the best selling console.

Metroid is literally 120fps. You don’t know what ray tracing is, or what “fidelity”. Switch launched in 2017, and was a runaway success long before the pandemic. Stop spreading misinformation.

Three issues; Path Tracing, High Fidelity Ray Tracing, and 120fps. Switch survived on 1st party and COVID, Switch 2 is relying on remasters and Nintendo is discovering how difficult modern game development is. Switch 2 STRUGGLES at 30fps right now without Ray Tracing.

@Riven_117 I did stipulate only 12-ish games realistically count. Even lower for PS5, but realistically how many games are people buying a year? I bought 4 games for my switch 2, which is about the same new games I buy a year for my PC.

The actual exclusives are more like 12 for N2 and 8 for PS5 lifetime. The N2's are just objectively better tho so far.

@Nerry_pgn @ShadowFoxArche This was when more production came online. There was basically limitless demand for both the Switch and the Wii upon release. Breath of the Wild first couple months sold more copies than Switches, presumably because people later planned to buy a switch but couldn't atm.

@GotHicks @BringBackBanjoK They had the perfect dark director leave well before the buyout after the game was done. But the buyout triggered a mass exodus of the original talent which clearly also didn't help their ability to make decent games~ 30 employees at least. Which was a lot for the time.

@SalazarCOficial @BringBackBanjoK The buyout was the main reason for the exodus of their talent. Pretty sure they had 30+ quit as it finalized. It's probably the main reason the studio put out terrible product after product. It was a mistake to let Microsoft do it.
