Cataloguing the mental illness known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, one post at a time.

Yesterday delivered a major victory for life. The Fifth Circuit’s decision to block the mailing of abortion-inducing drugs is a clear affirmation that states like Texas have the authority to enforce laws that protect both women and unborn children. For too long, these drugs have been shipped across state lines with little to no medical oversight, putting lives at risk and undermining the will of states that have chosen to defend life. This ruling reinforces exactly what we worked to address with my HB 7 last session. Through the Woman and Child Protection Act, we took action to stop the unlawful distribution of abortion-inducing drugs, ensure accountability for out-of-state providers, and protect women from the serious health risks and coercion that can come with these dangerous practices. I will continue fighting to uphold the sanctity of life, defend Texas law, and ensure that both mothers and their unborn children are protected.

Yes, women should have to carry a child to term and should not be allowed to have an abortion. There’s life after pregnancy for women. There is no life after abortion for babies.

Millennial/Gen X daughters are facing massive economic disadvantages because of the expectation they’ll be responsible for eldercare, even if there’s other siblings or it’s their in-laws. Anecdotally, this feels true and wholly depressing

When it comes to sex, only a clear yes is a yes. Everything else is rape. In many EU countries, rape is still defined by violence or resistance. Parliament is pushing for an EU-wide definition of rape based on the absence of consent. Learn more: link.europa.eu/dN3kpd
