Good afternoon everyone!! Happy to announce that Domain Summit Europe 2026 will take place on 17-18 August 2026 in Kempten, Germany. URL: kempten26.domainsummit.com/e/2138674890 This will be a compact, business-first edition limited to 60 attendees, designed for more meaningful connections and better conversations. The event is mostly invitation-only, with preference given to participants from the DACH market. If you are interested in attending, speaking, or exhibiting, please message me directly. We expect to allow a maximum of 1-2 representatives per company. Also, on 16 August (Sunday) we plan a Neuschwanstein Castle group tour, and on 19 August a curated brewery visit to continue networking beyond the conference programme. Happy Friday! Helmuts

we listened to your feedback - yesterday we added "applying to ICANN" as a quickfilter to surface select web3 TLDs in search. also, your TLD search filters are now saved so the next time you open search you will see the same TLDs. so web3-interested users will still get a web3-centric experience

@Berryhillj @doronvermaat Depends on the type of name and discovery. Atom has some good data on people starting with one keyword and buying a domain that doesn't have the keyword. (Of course, those transactions won't use a lawyer.)

@doronvermaat Absolutely correct. I've handled many substantial domain sales over the years, and I can't recall any of them started with a buyer who went "domain shopping" at a marketplace. The buyer was interested in purchasing a specific domain, or a narrow range of alternatives.

@DomainNameWire I'm amazed at the lack of insight. Web3-domains success are dependent on crypto mass adoption. Anyone in crypto and Web3 would understand this. This is like calling Bitcoin Dead for a million different times over the years. We are still way early for flip sake.

@afzalmiahDI That's not a domain. An AI tool can't use it to promote their tool, because hardly anyone can visit it.

@DomainNameWire Curious if you’re seeing more interest in short “.x” domains for AI tools? Names like Evaluate.x feel like a natural fit for evaluation / analytics platforms. Feels like an emerging naming trend 👀 #domains #AI

@garypalmerjr The SEC isn't "teaching" anything. I think ETH domains have a purpose - they are wallet address shorteners. They will never have a use for websites.

@DomainNameWire human readable addresses are a vital utility to prevent poisoning and secure crypto transactions. Another utility is decentralized websites/dapps. blockchain domains aren’t going anywhere. All websites are already .eth domains so it’s far from dead. study ens

@garypalmerjr That's not what the document Brantly points to says. It just says .eth is a tool instead of a security.

Last straw with @Hertz in TFA. Why make a reservation and be a “gold” member if I have to wait in line an hour at 12:30am

@DInvesting @hypernames @DNAcademy @afternic I talked to a large investor who has his domains set to 13 months. He said only about half of the people bother to move the slider and realize 12 months is actually less per month (and one less payment)
