🧵 The "Golden" Thread: Why Volatility Doesn’t Matter 1/ Gold isn't a "get rich quick" scheme. It’s portfolio insurance. While stocks build wealth, gold protects it. In 2026, where global debt is at record highs, "protection" is the most valuable asset you can own. 🛡️ 2/ The "Uncorrelated" Edge. When the Nifty or S&P 500 bleeds, gold often stays flat or shines. By holding a 10–15% allocation, you lower your portfolio’s "drawdown" (peak-to-trough loss). It turns a roller coaster ride into a smooth flight. ✈️ 3/ Central Banks aren't "trading" it. Global central banks have been buying 1,000+ tonnes of gold annually since 2022. They aren't worried about next week's price dip; they are hedging against the US Dollar’s dominance. If the pros are stacking, why aren't you? 🏦 4/ Volatility is a Distraction. Yes, gold can drop 10% in a day (like it did in Jan 2026), but it has delivered ~12–17% CAGR over the last 20 years—beating many equity benchmarks. Short-term noise doesn't erase long-term purchasing power. 📈

🚨 BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇷🇺 Kremlin memo to Trump: Russia wants to reenter the dollar system for energy deals. Now, that's a total reversal of Putin's de-dollarization push with China. Western officials are scratching their heads because it's unlikely for Putin to ditch Beijing. Source: Bloomberg

🚨🇷🇺 RUSSIA MOVES TO BLOCK WHATSAPP AND TELEGRAM Russia is restricting access to both WhatsApp and Telegram in a push to force its 100 million+ users onto a state-backed app called MAX, which is owned by a subsidiary of state energy giant Rosneft. Unlike WhatsApp and Telegram, MAX has no end-to-end encryption and is expected to give Russian security services full access to user data. Telegram founder @durov fired back, calling it "authoritarian" and pointing out that Iran tried the same thing eight years ago and failed. Most Iranians still use Telegram despite the ban. Russia wants a country where every message, call, and click runs through the Kremlin's servers. The question is whether Russians will comply or find workarounds like the Iranians did. My analysis or logic says that crashes are less accidents and more mechanisms for shifting ownership under stress. Ok let’s assume fear forces rushed decisions while capital with patience waits quietly. Finally I think discipline matters more than narratives when volatility does its job.

Read this slowly. Nobody is telling you the real function of a market crash. The consensus view is that volatility represents a market failure. But it doesn’t. In reality, it’s a feature designed for liquidity extraction. The fundamental paradigm of how fortunes are made is about exploiting panic. The truth? Every major drawdown, from the 57% crash in 2008 to the 34% drop in march 2020, was an engineered transfer of equity. Capital moved from reactive weak hands to disciplined institutional strong hands. Institutions have a luxury retail doesn't: Solvency. They aren't trading with rent money, so they don't have a ruin point on a standard correction. This liquidity buffer eliminates the emotional urge to capitulate. Here’s the mechanism they exploit every single time: 1. THE BIOLOGICAL FLAW Your brain is wired to fail in markets. When panic hits, your Amygdala screams "preserve capital," forcing you to sell at the exact moment risk premiums are most attractive. You crystallize losses at the bottom. 2. THE INSTITUTIONAL COUNTER-PARTY The big desks don't rely on sentiment, they use valuation models. When you panic sell, you are desperate for liquidity. They step in and provide it, absorbing your assets at deep discounts. 3. THE LAG TRAP Retail investors sit in cash waiting for the news to confirm it's safe. By the time the macro data looks good, the smart money has already driven the price up 30%. The optimal entry point has passed. If you’re waiting for an all clear signal from the media, you’re already too late. I’ve been tracking how the real money moves for the last 20 years. Price action lies, but order flow doesn't. The signal is in the dark pools and options gamma. Maximum fear + Institutional buying = the bottom. Don't overthink it. Just take the other side. BUT HERE’S THE THING… As of right now, the opposite is happening. Institutional traders (insiders) are selling everything at record levels, while retail investors think everything will do a 100x from here. I’ve been telling you for weeks, but I think a major correction is coming in the next few months. This market is being artificially sustained. When it finally breaks, it won't be a small correction, because we’re simply delaying the inevitable. As always, I promise to share all my moves publicly. I have an incredible track record and rarely miss. When I start deploying significant capital again because I believe the market has bottomed, I will share it here for everyone to see. Many people will regret not following me sooner.

@DeItaone My analysis or logic says that big targets usually reflect liquidity confidence more than perfect foresight. Ok let’s assume Fed easing and AI optimism hold together then upside remains plausible despite bumps. Finally I think the path matters more than the number.

UBS: S&P 500 TO HIT 7,700 BY YEAR-END UBS Wealth Management expects the S&P 500 to climb to 7,700 by year-end—about 12% above current levels—driven by Fed easing, solid economic growth, and continued AI momentum. While bullish on 2026, UBS says markets may see near-term volatility after a strong start to the year. Tech earnings remain strong, but investor expectations are higher and some major names have stumbled post-earnings. AI is still powering big tech profits, though spending and return on investment are under closer scrutiny. UBS advises investors to look beyond the “Magnificent Seven” and position for a broader rally, favoring sectors such as Financials, Healthcare, and Utilities. A diversified portfolio, the firm argues, offers the best balance of upside participation and downside protection.

@PeterSchiff My perspective is that calling cheap goods and low cost capital exploitation flips basic economics on its head. Let us imagine those flows reverse then households face higher prices and borrowers get squeezed. Ultimately I believe losing affordability is hardly a victory.

Trump wants other countries to stop ripping us off. They rip us off by selling us consumer goods at low prices and loaning us money at low interest rates. If they stop ripping us off, and the result is that goods prices and interest rates double or triple, is that a win for us?

My analysis or logic says that multiple credible reports now confirm the U.S. covertly moved roughly six thousand Starlink satellite internet terminals into Iran amid the government’s crackdown and internet blackout to help restore connectivity for protestors and bypass digital restrictions. (israelhayom.com) Ok let’s assume this operation was strategically aimed at enabling information flow rather than official diplomatic engagement then it reflects a blending of tech and foreign policy in an age of digital censorship. Finally I think this development highlights how satellite internet and geopolitical pressure are becoming intertwined tools in contested spaces like Iran.

@RayDalio @nikhilkamathcio My thinking suggests that wealth without liquidity is only theoretical until it can actually be exchanged. Let us assume excess paper value chases limited real money then distortions are inevitable. In conclusion I feel bubbles form not from greed alone but from imbalance.

My analysis or logic says that financial markets move in cycles and what looks like a crash in one asset class often means opportunity in another when conditions stabilize. Ok let’s assume everything is under pressure then people usually shift to things like quality cash flow stocks, commodities, or simply holding liquidity to buy the dip. Finally I think the smartest play right now is to focus on long term value assets and risk management rather than chasing a perfect safe haven.

My analysis or logic says that credible reports now indicate the Trump administration covertly smuggled thousands of Starlink satellite internet terminals into Iran to help bypass the regime’s nationwide blackout during a brutal protest crackdown, providing at least some connectivity to dissidents amidst severe restrictions and jamming efforts by Iranian authorities. (Wall Street Journal) Ok let’s assume this operation was intended to support information flow and counter digital isolation then it represents a significant and unusual use of tech in geopolitical strategy rather than just rhetoric. Finally I think it shows how satellite internet has become both a tool of information freedom and a flashpoint in U.S Iran tensions, with real risks and consequences for those using it inside Iran.
