そうだなぁ.....本来喜ぶ所なんだけど.....
やはり発表から実際に利用するまでの間が空きすぎている気がするんですよね。Cardanoの時差はなぜ起こってしまうのだろうかというのが毎度感じることよね。純粋に疑問なのよな。
ADAが利用できる。これはユーザーにとっては嬉しい事だけど(日本は対象外)、更に何かメリットがあるんだろうか。
マーケティング部門は頑張らんと惹きつけられないよね。直近ではXやマスターカードの話題が出てくる中で、新興のTira、kastは話題性とパワーがあるしね😅

Super exciting news!
Rakuten, Japan’s big e-commerce giant (and mobile player to boot), now lets you buy ADA through its wallet. And it gets even more interesting when you look at how huge Rakuten already is:
- Rakuten Bank alone has about 17 million customer accounts as of mid-2025.
- Dec 2024, monthly active users earning points hit over 44 million.
Putting that together, the fact that ADA is now buyable via Rakuten wallet (using or converting from Rakuten Points, etc.) means this could really open up crypto access to a lot of people who are already in Rakuten’s ecosystem.
Big potential for mainstream adoption here.

EMURGO Group won’t be voting in Fund 14. In fact, we’ve never participated in voting or applied for Catalyst funding since it began. We view the Catalyst fund as a tool designed to benefit the community🙂
As you mentioned, EMURGO Labs and EMURGO Africa are separate entities, and we don’t have control over their operations. I am sure you’re well aware of who leads EMURGO Africa and the team, and I really appreciate your clarification here🙏

I think EMURGO said somewhere that they are not interested in participating in the Catalyst vote, but if EMURGO and EMURGO Labs/EMURGO Africa etc are completely separate entities, then it may be possible that EMURGO Labs/EMURGO Africa will participate in the vote, as it is outside of EMURGO's jurisdiction(?) I'm not sure about this 🙏

I hope CF will quickly release the following three things about Catalyst f14 before any unnecessary drama begins... This is important, considering all the drama started with the F13 CF vote 🙏
(1) How much ada do they plan to vote with?
(2) What date can they release the voting proposal list?
(3) Hopefully, there will be room for the community and proposers to make requests if they have any objections to the list.

So @midgardprotocol reached the funding threshold! One of the first to do so. As I shared earlier, @phil_uplc and the team have earned the respect, goodwill, and trust of the #Cardano community through a combination of great technology, regular engagement, and helping others.
This is one of the most important tech stacks that will scale the $ADA ecosystem. Midgard offers a sharded-like experience for Cardano by processing transactions in parallel off-chain, reducing congestion on the main blockchain, and improving scalability with 1000 TPS potential.

I completely agree with you. That’s why I toured four cities in Japan with other community members to help share accurate information.
That said, many holders still don’t fully understand how governance works and have delegated their voting rights to the stake pool operators they stake with.
This is one of the reasons why Japanese SPOs hold such a strong influence. Since it seems we share a similar perspective, I’d love for you to join us on the next community tour across Japan.
Your voice would be incredibly valuable in helping deliver the right message.

The most common question I've received recently from the Japanese community is about the midnight airdrop. The second most common question is, "I see a pop-up in my Yoroi mobile wallet telling me to delegate to Yoroi DRep, but will something bad happen if I don't delegate?" 👀

Yoroi Wallet – Cardano Governance UI Update
We’re updating Yoroi Mobile to match the latest desktop features.
With desktop v5.9.0, we introduced updates to improve visibility and transparency for Cardano governance participation. These changes have also been applied to the browser extension, covering the majority of Yoroi users.
However, due to new requirements from the App Store and Google Play (e.g. iOS 18 SDK via Xcode 16), the updated mobile version is still pending final release. It’s currently in staging, and we sincerely apologize for the delay as we batch many changes together.
It’s a necessary step to to keep the app secure, aligned, and ready for future governance improvements.
This is part of our regular development work and does not impact the overall goals of user security, greater decentralization, and governance empowerment.
