⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ School of Rock by Forth Children’s Theatre not only rocks, it soars. School of Rock follows down on his luck Dewey Finn, who having been expelled from his band finds a novel way to win Battle of the Bands. Horace Green School doesn’t quite know what it’s in for. It is a brave choice for any amateur company to do, given the sheer level of talent School of Rock requires to produce. @FCTCompany has been performing in Edinburgh since 1979 and that level of experience is clearly on view in School of Rock. Without doubt my favourite part of the production is the sheer joy and enthusiasm that the cast portray through avid choreography. They are clearly talented and having plenty of fun along the way. Special mention must go to Lauren Gardner who played Rosalie Mullins. Her voice is a delight and really portrayed the nuances of the character. I genuinely hope to see her again. That’s not to say the production is without fault, there was minor sound issues, but overall this is a fun production that is up there with the top Fringe shows this year. Catch it at Broughton High School until Saturday 9th August. #EdFringe #SchoolofRock #Edinburgh #Theatre #Musical #EdinburghFringeFestival
