@buckleycarlson @SethDillon Are you a teenage girl? Sorry you can’t come to grips with the fact that a furry lover killed Charlie but it’s very likely that he did. Stop trying to cash in on it

@SethDillon @buckleycarlson Charlie’s wife told me to my face that you did in fact pressure him in the Hamptons. I just want to know when you’re going to stop lying about that.

#Akathisia The post about akathisia below is well intentioned but it reflects a common misconception among clinicians that akathisia is primarily something which occurs after starting an antipsychotic. The akathisia that Jordan Peterson is suffering is tardive akathisia which can occur after coming off an SSRI, benzo or antipsychotic (as well as several other classes of drugs). This kind of akathisia is rarely taught in medical training and consequently is often missed in a clinician context. While it may be true that the more recognised version of akathisia can be resolved by coming off the offending medication, tardive akathisia following withdrawal from antipsychotics/benzos/SSRIs is very different and hard to treat. Sometimes going back on the meds helps but often it doesn’t. Propranolol can sometimes help a bit but not when the akathisia is severe and it can sometimes make things even worse. Benzos can sometimes suppress it temporarily but the akathisia can then erupt later even more severe than before. The truth is there is not a lot that can be done with tardive akathisia except survive it. The good news is that it often resolves on its own (albeit agonisingly slowly over time). In some cases, however, the suffering is so great and prolonged that people have chosen euthanasia.

As a psychiatrist, I’m really encouraged by the growing conversation around #akathisia after @MikhailaFuller’s update on her dad. Yes, it’s brutal that deep inner restlessness can feel like torture. Here’s the hopeful public health truth: it’s very treatable when we spot it early. Dose tweaks, med switches, or simple add-ons like propranolol often bring fast relief. Many people recover fully and go on to thrive. The real win? Patients feeling safe to speak up and doctors listening without brushing it off as “just anxiety.” Better awareness = fewer people suffering in silence. If you’re on psych meds and feel this, tell your doctor. You’re not alone and help is out there. Who’s had a positive turnaround story with side effects? Drop it below (respectfully). Let’s keep the convo hopeful. #AkathisiaAwareness #MentalHealth

A lot of people are asking for my thoughts about Candace Owens. Many of you don’t know this, but she read a super chat on her channel about my search for a living kidney donor. The next day I received over a dozen emails from potential donors (none of which worked out, but it is the attempt that counts). I will be forever grateful that she did this for me.

Being an ER doctor is crazy because most days it’s all bullshit and you don’t need your brain at all Sore throats and various joint pains and man colds Then other days a mom crash delivers a 25 week 2lb preemie that comes out blue and you spend all night trying to keep it alive

@ashleyschendel I hate delivery. I hate cold or soggy food. Amazes me how people pay so much to order from a fast food place 30 minutes away. So gross to me

I don’t think most people realize how much they’re paying for convenience when ordering delivery until they see it side by side. It’s not just a delivery fee. It’s higher menu prices, a service fee, taxes on top of that, then a tip. By the time you’re done, a $15 meal turns into $25–$30. And the part that’s easy to miss is the restaurant isn’t winning here either. They’re giving up a big cut just to be on the app, so they raise prices to survive, and the customer absorbs it. I’m not anti-delivery apps. Sometimes they make sense. But if you’re ordering a few times a week, that gap adds up fast. You’re basically paying a premium for not getting in the car. Curious how other people think about this. Do you treat delivery like an occasional convenience, or has it just become part of your normal food budget?

Charlie Kirk’s name is still trending everyday on X. This case has been kept alive, not by the powerful “friends” he made in politics, but by the many people all around the world that he never met; people who have dedicated their personal time to research and to share what they know—the many of us who are now united in our sense that Charlie was betrayed and that finding out why and by whom matters deeply. Charlie would be proud. Thank you to everyone who is fighting for truth. It does matter.

Losing Charlie felt like losing a close friend. I cried for weeks—the kind of grief that makes you lose it randomly throughout the day when your thoughts drift back to the horror we all witnessed. It’s interesting—the creators I found in the very beginning like Stew Peters and Ryan Matta—when I hear their voices now, it takes me back to the beginning of all of this when everything was still so raw. I know Charlie would be proud and I’m grateful to be on the right side of history in all of this. This many months later, this case is still at the forefront of my mind. I think we will find justice for Charlie and we will hopefully help save the life of an innocent young kid.

This is probably bait, but imagine you go to another country without travel health insurance. Then, the claim that you pay nothing in Germany is also false. If you are an uninsured foreigner travelling to e.g. Germany and your appendix burst, then you're also looking at a 8k-20k euro bill as a so-called Selbstzahler (self-payer). This poster is twisting facts to spin a narrative and is full of shit.

My wife collapsed in our hotel room in New York today “Call an ambulance, I can’t breathe” she was screaming My heart dropped If she ends up in an American hospital we are financially ruined I went on the Lufthansa app to book a flight back to Frankfurt, but unfortunately pilots are on strike today “Please I’m begging you” she was lying on the floor I sighed and called 911 She is now in surgery as apparently her appendix “almost burst” I am extremely scared This is going to cost us at least $100,000 She could have received much better care, for free, in Germany I will never visit this barbaric country ever again
