He said, "Whatever people  say about this whole thing, he said, there are only two people in the history of the world who have built compelling brands where people care about the name on the building for commercial real estate and the history of the entire world. And he said one of them is the President of the United States, and the other is Adam Neumman. This guy is a generational talent in that industry... we got to know him after that. Today, the federal New Democratic Party selected its new leader. It is clear that the direction of the federal party under this new leader, someone who openly cheered for the defeat of the Alberta NDP government, is not in the interests of Alberta. Last year, Alberta’s New Democrats voted overwhelmingly to make membership in the federal party optional. Many thousands of our provincial members, including myself, are not members of the federal party. We are a big tent and welcome the support of people who vote for every federal party. We believe in Alberta and we believe in Canadian energy and the good jobs it creates. We believe in more pipelines and in reducing emissions. We believe in strong public services and a strong jobs-driven economy to help pay for them. This is what we are fighting for every day. Albertans deserve federal leaders who understand the importance of Alberta and our essential role in the federation. Our focus is not on what the federal NDP says or does. Our fight is with Danielle Smith and the separatist UCP. Albertans deserve a better government, and we are here to be that better government.

If you were to create list of people in the UK who really understand metal supply and demand, have built mines, know commodity economics, large scale industrial investment, project feasibility, permitting, development and finance: then it would not be a long list, but my name would be on it. For all of the people who know that electricity is the future and that hydrocarbons are dying, that we don't need diesel, or gas, or liquid fuels: Tell me where the copper is coming from. Now do silver, tin, lithium and batteries. For those of you say the future is nuclear, tell me where the uranium is coming from. Tell me what price these would be at, and when it could be delivered. Tell me how you are going to build grid resilience and more importantly grid inertia from renewables. Tell me what your plan is for windless, cloudy days in the middle of winter. Tell me what you will do to decommission and replace wind and solar every 10 to 20 years - and where you will dump all those unrecylcable turbine blades. For every GW of renewables we have to build a GW of conventional back-up, or rely on the kindness of foreigners. There is no magic metal shop. There is no new physics that makes a 100% renewables grid work. The greatest threat to humanity is not global warming, it is energy poverty.

When you choose to see everything in life through a single idiotic lens. Canada needs an East coast production & direct access to an ocean where our most likely clients (Europe) are located is damn good for the country. Plus, they are our allies who need stable energy.

Nova Scotia votes Liberal, so Nova Scotia gets to pump oil. Alberta and Saskatchewan vote Conservative, so Alberta and Saskatchewan don't get pipelines or tankers, and have to pay bizarre "carbon capture" taxes.

Maybe that's the trick, FAA pitches 47 on a new academy named Trump and everything will be layered in gold but needs the capacity to produce 500 controllers a year as a condition. Budget allocated within seconds I bet.
