Saw a lady on drugs passed out face first into her pizza. Her kid was with her waiting for her to wake up/sober up. America is filthy.

Like ya the enemies aren’t ask crisp looking, but standing a field at dusk, with grass blowing, the sky becoming dark orange, it can’t be beat. It’s spectacular

@m_rizky_gumilar @Pacifist_Elk Totk looks better than nearly any other game in a similar genre. I can’t even think of a better looking game. RDR2 is the only thing that might be better. That game has some fantastic atmosphere/environmental art.

I'm only 10 hours into Crimson Desert, so my opinion may change, but I think this is because of "Nintendo Magic". Nintendo has nearly every action and control polished to an insane degree. Even the act of picking up objects off the ground "Feels" good and satisfying.

@ShitpostRock2 Gaming is a hobby where the little guy can beat the bigger guy and it regularly happens. But RDR2 is an example of what happens when the big guy actually cares and uses their resources. It should be appreciated. But ya, it cost an incredible amount, that’s why it looks good

It's an interesting fact of human history that we have these two similar sized islands, Japan and the UK that are close to a mainland, and have had outsized influence and power throughout history compared to their size. Having an island of a certain size or above separated from the mainland really seems like a powerful starting position. Both held their own historically against the significantly larger continental rival (France, China). Madagascar and the southern African mainland present a similar geographical arrangement, but it hasn't had the same historical importance.
