@ThomasWillett9 How stupid do you have to be to keep repeating the "trans people will be BANNED!" lie. Just stop lying. Males are being asked to participate with other males. Very normal and very sensible for physical sport/competition. Please get a grip.

@ross_kaimix @jk_rowling @theglassfish13 You don't fix male-on-male violence by destroying women's single-sex spaces. Women aren't human shields for males who are victimised by other males. By that logic, who else should be allowed in women's spaces? Gay men? Disabled men? Small, dweeby men?

@jk_rowling @theglassfish13 Trans women face incredibly high rates of SA & violent victimization which is the same reason you’ve given for women’s ‘right’ to single sex spaces. The only way to get around that is by grouping trans women in with a general ‘male sex class’ which is also thought-stopping

No, I don't think 'all people should have the right to decide their own rights', because a pluralistic democratic society can't function that way. Which rights are trans women and 'fans of Pride' missing?

🚨My son’s college update Dear Kellie-Jay, I have now had the opportunity to consider your email dated 9 April and to look into the matters you have raised. The College aims to create an environment which balances robust rights to freedom of expression with appropriate and proportionate interventions where the exercise of those rights crosses into harm, such as unlawful harassment, to other learners and members of the College community. That balance requires a judgment to be made, and I am satisfied that, despite our best intentions, on this occasion the correct balance has not been achieved. Accordingly, I am rescinding the finding against xxxxx and withdrawing the warning that was issued to him. It has been removed from his record. On behalf of the College, I apologise to him and to you for the way this matter has been handled. We will be in contact with xxxx to facilitate and support his return to studies as swiftly and smoothly as possible. The learnings from xxxx case will be fed into our forthcoming review of our policies, processes and the standards of conduct we expect from our learners, as well as the training we offer our staff about handling issues related to freedom of expression. Yours sincerely,

This clip alone should be enough to make everyone in the world realize that transgenderism is absolute nonsense.

Only one of these men was legally allowed to rape you in exchange for giving you grocery money all the way until 1991, and it wasn't your boss.

@DoctorLemma That actor Dev Patel, I don't like him. Would have been better if they had to make a movie they should have chosen someone else.

In 1986, a five-year-old boy in India fell asleep on a bench at a train station while waiting for his older brother to come back. His brother never returned. The boy wandered onto an empty train carriage, thinking his brother might be inside. He fell asleep again. When he woke up, the doors were locked and the train was moving. It didn’t stop for nearly two days. When it finally did, he was in Kolkata, nearly 1,500 kilometres from home. He was too young to know his surname, couldn’t read, and had no idea what his hometown was called. He survived alone on the streets for weeks, sleeping under station benches and scavenging scraps of food, before eventually being taken to an orphanage and declared a lost child. No one could trace where he came from. He was adopted by a couple from Tasmania, Australia, who gave him a loving home and a new life. His name became Saroo Brierley. He grew up on the other side of the world. But he never forgot. He held onto fragments: the image of a bridge near a train station, a water tower, a neighbourhood layout, the faces of his family. In his mid-twenties, he discovered Google Earth. He calculated the rough distance the train could have covered based on how long he remembered being on it, drew a circle on a map around Kolkata, and began searching along every railway line within that radius. Some weeks he spent 30 hours scanning satellite images of towns across central India, looking for landmarks that matched his childhood memories. His family in Australia didn’t even know. They thought he was just browsing the internet. In 2011, after years of searching, he found it. A water tower. A bridge. A ravine past a station. It was a neighbourhood called Ganesh Talai in the city of Khandwa. He zoomed in and recognised the streets he had walked as a small boy. He flew to India and walked through the town until he found his family’s home. The door was chained shut and he feared the worst. Then people came out. One of them led him to a woman down the road. It was his mother. She had never stopped looking for him. After 25 years, they were standing in front of each other. What he didn’t know until that moment was that his brother Guddu, the one he’d been waiting for at the station that night, had been struck and killed by a train. His mother had spent 25 years searching for both sons. She learned what happened to one. She never stopped praying for the other. His story became the book “A Long Way Home” and was adapted into the film “Lion,” which received six Academy Award nominations.

@mozzer39 @LGBTQPrideUK I actually think gender identity theory is reactionary and aligns more with radically individualist neoliberalism rather than with any left-wing class analysis, let alone with any feminist theory worthy of the name. But these are discussions we can have once we stop name-calling

How many times do you think a girl sold into an unwanted marriage will be raped over the course of her lifetime? Say she’s sold at age 9, to a man who “only” insists on raping her once a day. By the time she’s 30, she’ll have been raped over 7k times. It doesn’t stop being rape just because she realizes it’s hopeless and stops trying to fight him off. That’s just one girl. There are over 650 million women and girls alive today who were forced into marriage as children. I’d tell you how many rapes that is yearly, but my calculator won’t go that high. And none of those rapes — not a single one — will be added to official rape statistics. The real numbers are literally unimaginable, and the abuse of women and girls, which has occurred without ceasing for longer than we have been homo sapiens, is the greatest human rights catastrophe in the history of our species.
