@FifteethChance
I dunno. Everything's a bummer.

The thing you have to understand about Byrne's Superman is that it was massively popular in a way the book hadn't been before, and that's because "Ultra-patriotic drywall dust about how Republican Midwestern values are an objective moral truth" is what sold well at that time.

Feeling very vindicated by Snyder making a joke about this in the MAD Magazine/DC special

@ThatComicFan3 why are there literally zero stories allowed to exist that focus on white men for a change being heroes instead of girlbosses?

@Parzival_jay Literally why not say "yeah, its on purpose" rather than trying to gaslight people into believing omni-man has a blue suit

“Omnibuses are for larpers” implies that people who buy omnibuses don’t read comics. Wtf are they doing with their $60-150 books that are full of comics then? Staring at them?

Project Hail Mary is the greatest book I’ve ever read. The amazing character development from goofy scientist to goofy scientist in space and the side character alien that was totally not stolen from Interstellar make for such a bromance and the flowery prose makes it elite.

What makes these numbskulls mad in works like Martin's isn't that "there's no good and evil and everyone is morally gray", it's that good and evil are emergent from actions and not inherent, that there aren't orcs who are declared evil and paladins declared good.
