@maZombies Its more than one, but he deactivated his twitter. Also Italian isn’t a race. “Dark skin” isn’t a racial category. Helena as intended by him to be a black Italian.

@offmodescarab And Latino is an ethnicity. Anya Taylor Joy and Gina Torres are both latino. You can’t tell me that you think they’re the same race. Or that you think Anya isn’t a white woman lol

@offmodescarab Acknowledging that a franchise about black people has been diluted and whitewashed is not an attack on Latino people. I’m sure if they decided to make a Blue Beetle movie and cast Jaime and his family with African American actors you’d rightly have an issue lol

In a Hollywood that treats Afro Latinos like they damn near don’t exist, trying to villainize black people for saying that a franchise that was supposed to be about a group of black girls should have featured an Afro-Latina over a white one is simply weird as fuck

@hexaterrestrial The Cheetah Girls by its very origin was a story made by a black woman who wanted to add representation for black girls in media. It was always about color. People like you just choose to ignore that because its convenient for your racist asses lol

@ThatComicFan3 Babes this is a whole new group not a recasting. Whatever happened to g "we don't judge a cheetah by the color of her spots?" Or did we forget that?? It was never about color

Many such cases. A lot of Afro Latino actors in Hollywood have only been able to find roles as African American characters because casting directors don’t view them as “latino” enough.
Kaz 🇵🇸@kazhatesyou

@ThatComicFan3 I remember Christina Milian talking about being turned down for Latina roles bc she’s Black.
