In honour of William Shatner’s 95th birthday, I've just watched Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)... again. The Mutara Nebula battle is still stunning, and presenting starships-as-submarines running blind is pure genius. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Forty years ago, on this day (Mar 17) in 1986, I stood on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise-A at Paramount for the ending scene of Star Trek IV. James Doohan asked me if I'd made all the control panels green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I still regret not saying, "Yes!"

Interesting. Standing up to Trump - despite the opprobrium of much of our media as keen to commit to war in Iran as they were to Iraq disastrously 20 years ago - paying electoral dividends. The public remembers even if the press does not.
