@BaerliLover since you blocked me, I must say to the audience... you can't do math. In no way shape or form did the United States 'give more' to Russia. Not even close. You lost the argument, clearly... because you blocked me after you lied some random number. The United States is sovereign, and we do what is in our interests. Europe is sovereign under the EU, and does what is in its interest, which has clearly been funding 2 sides of a stupid war that has killed millions of Ukrainians and Russians needlessly.

2025, the last full year: US exports to Russia: $593 million US imports from Russia: $3.793 billion 2025, the last full year: EU exports to Russia ≈ €14.8 billion EU import from Russia ≈ €16.1 billion At the current exchange rate (1 Euro = 1.16 Dollars), Europe had OVER 8X as much trade with Russia than the United States did. Get out of here with your nonsense.

What if I told you that for decades, this was largely a U.S. policy -- that Europe largerly disarmed, weakened its defense industries, and handed its security over to the United States, making itself dependent? What if I told you that for decades, this arrangement suited both sides just fine? America secured its monopoly status as the world's military hegemon and the undisputed leader of the West, gained the ability to project its power across the globe, and had a massive market for its defense industry free from European competition -- all while extending its protection over its vassals-allies in return. And Europe was perfectly happy to relax under that American umbrella and spend its money on social programs and comfortable life. And then Donald Trump, at the helm of a superpower, decided that everyone owed him. That he wants a weak, dependent Europe and a vast market for American military exports -- but has no intention of honoring the part of the old bargain that involved actually protecting that same Europe. Doesn't anyone else find it hilarious that the Trump admin first screams at the top of its lungs demanding that Europe defend itself and become independent -- and then turns around and expresses displeasure that European countries are switching to their own weapons instead of signing contracts with the American defense industry?

The interest of every nation is their own. Sometimes a nation's immediate interest is different than what it will be in 5, 10, 50, 100 or 150 years from now. To calcify 'interests' as only what Europeans want your interests to be is peak 'White European Racism.'

@TheFungi669 Captain Obvious, they love immigrants. Your logic is like saying they hate white people because they want to imprison criminals who are white. Or they want to kick out all women, which is weird because they are married to women.

so..... Europeans actually gave Russians all that money, but America 'flirts.' Thats like saying Europe is taking decisive measures to stop cheating on their spouse, meaning they are cheating less and less - a provable action of 'cheating' that they've been doing for years, but America is showing interest in cheating but hasn't. Ok.

@FreeVoiceOG @IAPonomarenko Funny you say that given you guys cry so much about Europeans not spending enough on defense - a non-bonding target. While Europeans took decisive measures to decrease dependance on russian oil, the U.S. openly flirted with Russia and wants to increase trade with Russia.

No they do not. And for those they do (at least those that seem to have a kind of honest conversation about it in the last 2 years say things like 'its hard to just stop buying Russian oil' because they know if they stopped it would cause disruptions in the European economy, which they aren't willing to sacrifice to stop the 'existential threat' they claim Russia is to Europe.

@FreeVoiceOG @IAPonomarenko Does the average European understand that the UK and EU have spent MORE on Russian oil/gas then they have given Ukraine since the conflict began? The CREA estimated upwards of 200 billion spent by Europe since start of war compared to roughly 160 billion to Ukr mostly in loans

Maybe you're right. Intelligent people at the time would have said make a binding treaty. Also, Maybe Ukraine should have abided by the Minsk agreements, that they agreed to and Europe agreed to. And Europe HAS given Russia more cash since the invasion than their combined value of aid to Ukraine since the war. That is an immutable fact that Europeans can't wrap their heads around because its true and it upends the entire argument. "yeah, but weening ourselves off Russian petroleum is haaaaaard, man."

@FreeVoiceOG @IAPonomarenko Maybe the USA shouldn't have extorted Ukraine for their ressources, shouldn't have deceived Ukraine into giving away their nukes in return for - apparently worthless - US security guarantees. USA is the problem. Europe is funding Ukraine, USA is.supporting Russia

The speed at which Europe is separating itself from the US is unprecedented. I doubt Trump has understood the trading impact this is going to have across the board for the US economy. Most Americans simply do not understand how deeply their economy and income is linked to the EU

American forces didn't help British troops in the Falkland Isles, Northern Ireland or Sierra Leone. British forces didn't support the USA in the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia or Loas. Neither country has any divine right to expect support from the other. Trump is off his rocker.

@FreeVoiceOG @Tourosenta14746 @HibaNasr Has the US requested NATO to invoke Article 5 based on this 45 year record of attacks? The only time they requested Artical 5 was in 2001 and every NATO nation sent blood and treasure in response, fighting side by side with the US in Afghanistan and Iraq.

‼️Rubio : Unfortunately, after this conflict is concluded, we're going to have to re examine that relationship. We're going to have to re examine the value of NATO & that alliance for our country. Ultimately, that's a decision for the President to make, and he'll have to make it.
