One after another, projects that promised a revolution yesterday are scamming, and today they are disappearing with users' money. 🔻 This year alone: – Invarch – Zeitgeist – Subsocial – And now Polimec Who's next? What are we even building? Who is Paritytech working for if projects come, get credits of trust, liquidity, and leave the game under the pretext of "the referendum did not pass" or "there was not enough funding"? ⚖️ All this is presented to us as progressive democracy through OpenGov. But what kind of democracy is this if we cannot support our own ecosystem startups when they critically need it? If we cannot even complete the main cases of mass implementation? 📉 Take the case of referendum #1666, a unique app for fans of football clubs, already discussed with MLS, with the potential to integrate into all American teams. Ambassadors in the US have carried out perhaps the best marketing campaign in Polkadot history - cooperation with InterMiamiCF, Messi, Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul. The team comes out on the field in Polkadot jerseys, the owner of the club is David Beckham himself. It was an opportunity to break into the largest Web3 market - the US. 🗳️ And what does the community do? Vote against. Despite the obvious strategic importance. Despite the fact that dozens of people have dedicated their energy, ideas and reputation to this. 🎭 And today - Polimec. A team that worked inside the Parity office. Promises, infrastructure, ambitions - and suddenly disappear. Without reports. Without apologies. Without return. This destroys trust - not only in the community, but also among potential partners and investors who see all this. ❗ Something is clearly wrong. 🧠 It's time to reconsider: - Approach to governance and voting - Support for key projects - Criteria by which we decide what deserves funding @Polkadot needs a strategic reboot. 🔥 I believe that a new quality can be born from this crisis.
