@JackMac Absolutely wrong. That argument implies that our best athletes would be playing from an early age. Then, it is reasonable to expect that we would be the best.

The “America would be the best at soccer if our best athletes played it” theory is a fallacy. You’ll hear it a lot with World Cup coming up. We would certainly be better but we would still be decades behind every other major player in the sport. Plus a lot of our top tier elite athletes (Myles Garrett, LeBron, etc) do not have the build for soccer.

For the record - #12 is a great player with a bright future, who will eventually play college basketball. She stepped up multiple times this Winter as a Sophomore on a team that basically went undefeated. To insinuate anything else for views of a 15/16 year old is trash.
