@zzdoublezz We def need data centers and they’re a much more efficient use of land and resources industry wise. The problem with ai is in the lack of regulation and the threat it poses to employment, but that’s a lot more complicated so everybody just focuses on data centers

This is crazy. Where I live, you can OWN, not rent, an apartment for like $500 a month without utilities.

The “minimum” rent for a livable place in NYC is still way too high but more reasonable ~1.5k with a roommate outside of Manhattan ~2k for a studio outside of Manhattan ~2k with a roommate in Manhattan ~2.5k for a studio in Manhattan

Slopped another thing, this one tries to make it easier to meet up with friends on the same train.
Watched a video where people were able to coordinate getting on the same train to Coney Island in 1986 and figured, we should be able to have something easier than "hey, get to the station in like 30 minutes? I think you should probably make it onto my train."
This assigns an ID to each departure on each line, making it easier to ensure that you're getting on the same train as each other, which is nice for those long boring trips down to the beach where you might want to yap with someone along the way.

MAJOR BREAKING: At approximately 2:54 PM this afternoon Salt Lake City reached 109° for the first time in recorded history. Record books go back to 1874! Just absurd heat for this region! The lake breeze has not kicked in so 110° is possible if cloud cover doesn’t pick up.

Whether you agree with him or not - and I didn't on some points - by never marrying, apparently having no relationships of any kind, not cashing in, and being a true believer on his foreign policy agenda, maybe Graham is an example of Taleb's "soul in the game" concept.

@ONAN_OUS Because the few clips you’ve seen are very short segments of the movie that are visual gags. The heart of the movie is an Asian mom who runs a laundromat and sucks at taxes learning to appreciate her husband and daughter, which can’t be summed up in a clip
