Take it from me, It is better for your mental health to pack the suffering away. Do not be ignorant of it. But torturing yourself and not letting yourself enjoy the small things, while thinking about the horrors of the world is a way to make any depression worse. Worring about problems that you are powerless to solve in the moment will just make you feel helpless. Better to focus on the hear and now and being the best person you can be in the moment. If everyone were to do that then the problems would then eventually go away.

“The world isn’t perfect so you aren’t allowed to appreciate anything EVER” is such a miserable mindset.

I think that if you copy someone's style from a franchise for a parody or spin off then its just fair use and an homage. I think that if you copy someone's personal style, and especially if you try to pass the work as hand drawn or as your own and do not indicate it is AI then yes, that is theft. I think that AI for unique styles and prompts that are not copied but syncretic are perfectly acceptable. They may not show the skill of the artist's hands, But the prompt still shows the most important part of a creative idea. THE IDEA and conception itself. And I think giving people creative outlets to share their ideas, Even if it is just a concept art to get their idea across is actually something really good. Do not stifle peoples creativity because they can't draw a circle. Just because a picture didn't take hours of effort, Doesn't mean the idea cannot inspire.

If AI art is theft, then inspiration was illegal the whole time. Artists study artists. Culture builds on culture. That's how art works. You don't get to invent a new definition of stealing because your status feels threatened.

I have just recently returned to battletech and could not resist painting a lance of House Steiner Assault mechs. In this case the colors of the Royal Guards. I have been playing the alpha strike scouring sands campaign with some friends on weekends. Though I yearn to play classic battle tech too.

II’ve been writing Doujin-shi for BATTLETECH for a long time. One reason is to play the game with Japanese speakers while sharing a deeper understanding of it. Another reason is to convey the original work’s imagery more deeply within Japanese culture.

@K_SheePlane It reminds me of ww1 Canadian corps. Elite artillery heavy shock infantry who would lead attacks, So i like it. I also like the ogryn cannon, The hitch broke and bogged down, but no sense leaving the cannon behind. I myself run a tank troop with mobile infantry
