Went to the @sdccu ATM today to get money. Figured I'd get five $20 bills. Nope, they stopped letting you choose $20s or $50s. So I end up with two $50s. Went inside the bank to get change. Wait 10 minutes in line. Get to teller and ask for change for a $50. First she wants my account number. Ok not sure why since it's a drawer transaction. Give her the account number. Takes another 5 minutes of her looking at stuff on her screen. Then she says how do you want your change? Ok two $20s and a $10. She's typing away for another two minutes. Then she says, I need your ID. I ALMOST SAID I'M NOT TRYING TO VOTE, JUST GET CHANGE. But, I held my snarky tongue and just said, "Really? For change? You already have my $50". She says yes, she has to tie it to my account. Ok, I give her my California driver's license. Again another two minutes of typing and looking at her screen. Finally I hear the whrrr of the cash-o-matric. I think yay! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! She slides the pin pad over to me and says I have to sign for my cash! (This is something I've never quite understood is that the bank makes you sign that you've received your cash before you actually receive your cash.) I sign for the cash and finally get my freaking change! Literally 23+ minutes from start to finish. Yeesh. And people wonder why we can't have nice things.

People are divided on this. A restaurant automatically added a 25% tip to every dinner bill. The owner says it guarantees fair pay for servers. Some customers say tipping should always be optional. Should restaurants be allowed to add automatic tips?
