Looking at this again. It is an outrageous allegation for a member of Parliament to make. Surely it is outside the political norm. If he has evidence he should report to the police. If not, then how can the Labour Party allow it unchallenged?

@Not_my_fault Parents should be the judge of what their children see or watch not the state. I grew up with no social media and learned the art of conversation but this was not a state directive.

@Ben_woodward9 @ESCKieran03 My parents brought me up without social media. Time parents took the trouble to interact instead of giving out tech as they struggle to interact with children. So many times out for a meal parents give children phone to keep them quiet. Why not speak to them, hold conversation

@CMcKinnellMP Jesus she is the mother and she cant control her child's use of technology. Too many parents allow unlimited use to avoid interaction with their children.

A mum stopped me at the station to say how happy she is that we are legislating to protect children online. She’s excited for her younger son to have more quality time during his childhood. That’s all any parent wants, and the Government is taking action to support this.
