Lot of people think freshmen are getting pushed out of college baseball. Not even true. 153 true freshmen in the SEC. TN- 16, TX - 14, Ark-13. Message is you can be a FR and go SEC, but you better be really good.

That's not accurate. Good games besides last year 2019- Lost 35-23 2021- 20-3 2022- 23-13 2023- 34-27 2024- blowout 2010 we had 16 team brackets. Should we go back to that? What is the right number of teams? 8, 12, 16, 24, 32? In 2010 it was 1v16 no byes.

When I used to run tournaments in California. After each game home plate and mound were redone, batters box redone, every other game field dragged and relined. Good baseballs were used and no one played more than 2 games a day. I don’t see any of this anymore!

The Pittsburgh Pirates second round pick, righty Angel Cervantes, is headed to UCLA instead. Walked away from mega money to go to school. It’s an enormous get for John Savage and the Bruins. A tough pill to swallow for the Pirates.
