There is a renewed push for African States to enact the Model Law on Cross Border Insolvency which gives room for States to make necessary adjustments. Importantly, we should revisit our received national Maritime frameworks and discuss regional necessities. @Hamswa @gariaghana

2/ paper was selected by the @insolvencygovuk for its forward thinking conference. Links to the presentation are provided via the blog. I hope that regulators from common law African countries would also read it. Towards a reinvigorated comparative corporate and Insolvency Law.

My paper revisiting the receivership/administration debate but including insights from the Ghanaian/Nigerian model of receivership that is hardly discussed and poorly understood even in those two countries. My goal is for a new approach to comparative insolvency law.
Commercial Law Research Network Nigeria (CLRNN)@clrn_n

2nd paper from our special editn: @Blanle_A @UniRDG_Law examines the question whether receivership offers a superior model of rescue to administration; introduces the idea that there are different models of receivership some of which developed in Africa. clrnn.net/2023/12/01/div…
