🚨 Melania Trump this morning: Proposes an AI system—“Plato”—as a replacement for teachers.
“Literature, art, science, mathematics, history… the entire corpus of knowledge… at home.”
Replace teachers? With a machine?
AI over teachers. That’s the idea.
Instead of calling for better pay for our nation's educators/heroes.
Sad day!

@SpaceStuffX11 I stay out of that area for the most part, but that's not to say there aren't positive aspects to if you're already rooted in a solid epistemology and have the discipline to keep certain things separated...at least that's how I think about it.

There's a lot revealed here beyond recruiting influencers, but how aspects of mass psychology and propaganda work generally...and how people constantly rationalize evil, which you see everywhere now.

He says it begins with overwhelming leverage, where someone is confronted with their browsing history and even private, compromising footage. Then comes the pivot. Praise, protection, and a lucrative offer, sometimes as much as $20,000 a month. Hughes argues the key is making the target feel like it was their choice all along. Even as they are quietly pressured to censor guests, avoid certain topics, or shape their content, they convince themselves it is justified and for the greater good.

@7Hyenas It's kind of the same thing when you boil it all down, which is why the antidote to the pm is really Plato....which is where we begin with the "perennial" philosophy. And these ideas themselves are in no way new or original to Plato, why pm is so destructive, it lacks continuity.

Yep, this is exactly the problem with SUBJECTIVITY I was talking about the other day. Which has now pretty much infected all American thinking...a very, very small percentage of people are still committed to objective reality (aka truth) as the foundational principle of Goodness.

What I find fascinating from a psychological perspective is the number of people who believed it was real when they liked Trump but now believe it was fake now that they don’t like him and feel betrayed by him.
