One tourist is dead as new evidence reveals the CHILLING connections between a deadly shooting at a Mexican landmark and the Columbine massacre. Investigators say gunman Julio César Jasso Ramírez had materials tied to the 1999 school attack in his backpack while he carried out his own assault on the anniversary of the infamous shooting. Ramírez opened fire from a historic Mexican pyramid, killing a Canadian tourist and injuring at least 13 others before taking his own life. Officials say he acted alone but had studied the site in advance.

@tylerblack32 As a pharmacology researcher, he has got to understand the difference between opioids and nsaids. They are not the same chemically/physiologically/clinically. Perhaps he has never had severe pain.

Strong disagree. Opioids remain absolutely necessary for severe trauma, late-stage cancer, or major post-surgical pain because they lack an "analgesic ceiling" (meaning the dose can be continually increased). NSAIDs ARE good enough for standard injuries, however.

For musculoskeletal sprains, muscle strains, simple bone fractures, minor burns, lacerations, and routine postoperative pain, yes NSAIDS are sufficient in most cases.

This should be a much bigger story. The Trump administration is about to hand TotalEnergies, a French oil company, nearly $1 billion of your money to cancel its American offshore wind projects. And they are pulling the cash from an account they are not allowed to use this way. Here is how it works. The government has something called the Judgment Fund. Think of it as an emergency savings account for when the government loses a lawsuit or settles a real legal fight. It is not a checkbook the President can use whenever he feels like rewarding a company. To get around that rule, the administration is pretending TotalEnergies was about to sue. But TotalEnergies had no case. The company signed a contract in January 2025 with clear rules: the government cannot cancel these leases unless it first pauses the project for five years. The lease is less than four years old and was never paused. TotalEnergies agreed to those terms. There was no real lawsuit coming. So the administration invented a fake legal threat to justify raiding an account Congress controls. That matters because the Constitution says Congress, not the President, decides how taxpayer money gets spent. It gets worse. The White House claimed TotalEnergies would take the money and reinvest it in American oil and gas. The actual paperwork, now public, requires nothing of the kind. The company gets a billion dollars of taxpayer money and owes us nothing. So Americans are paying a foreign oil company to shut down clean energy projects here at home, using money that was never supposed to be spent this way, with zero strings attached. That is illegal, unethical, and a scandal hiding in plain sight.

Welp. I had my weekly shower, whether I needed it or not. (That's a joke). My hands are very arthritic lately, and aching. I am using the Diclofenac topical. And, I started the script for the FIRST EPISODE of my new video series, entitled: "Uncle David's Tales of the Forgotten: The USA's inexcusable war on pain patients." The first episode will be a setup of the series, an explanation of what I am doing and why, a call for public participation in contacting their representatives to DEMAND that assessment and tabulation of the harms and deaths caused to patients be initiated, and for a course change to correct the horrific overcorrection that has happened since 2016-ish (earlier at the VA). And, I will share my own case, imaging, story, and harms suffered after being DUMPED OFF my medications upon moving states in 2022, and the constant battle since then to regain and maintain adequate care. I am going to primary doc April 30th for a referral to a pain doc that also handles palliative care there. Maybe they will take me. I was up ALL NIGHT after feeling like a corpse on Saturday, unable to even function. Have no idea what that's about. Still struggling just to maintain household, nothing much going on in that regard. Still need to clear the desk so I can set it up and USE it. Ugh. Oh, and Cydni the amputee lady with CRPS for whom we had a fundraiser recently lost her dad on Saturday night. He had been sick for many years, age 77. He hung on long enough to deal with her mother, and after she passed a couple months back, he had no reason to hold on any longer. So. Prayers for her please. She is doing quite well, all things considered.
