I love Geoff. But he understands even less than Dario about the effects of technological revolutions on the labor market. Again, don't listen to AI scientists, as brilliant as they might be, and even less to AI CEOs, as successful as they might be, for questions of labor economics. Listen to reputable economists who have studied these things like @Ph_Aghion , @DAcemogluMIT , @erikbryn , @amcafee , @davidautor , etc.

Russian AI-assisted cyber is essentially a force multiplier with no recruitment costs. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) published a warning about Russia's growing cyber capabilities. Russia uses AI to automate attacks at scale, targets Europe's eastern flank , and has managed to infiltrate and take over chat accounts of Dutch government employees. The Dutch police was apparently hit for opportunistic reasons. Is the Dutch police being hit "opportunistically" the intelligence-speak for "they walked into an open door"? defensie.nl/site/binaries/…

Many of you know the Linux #auditd config I’ve maintained for years. It was always meant to be a simplified, detection-agnostic baseline for #Linux 🐧 We’ve now changed the way it works ⚡️ The core idea is: audit.rules should act as the sensor, not the detection engine That means: - generic process_creation - fewer brittle per-binary rules - better portability - CI validation We preserved the old baseline as v0.1.0 and released v0.2.0 as the new streamlined model github.com/Neo23x0/auditd… co-op with @petri_ph

Hot take, but I want my spaceship to look like it was designed by the darkest depths the military industrial complex. If I'm riding fire into the sky, I want to click buttons, spin dials and pull triggers... not tap around on GoyPad™️ V1.3.7

Idk if this is a hot take but I absolutely loathe the interiors of both starship hls and bloomoon This sleek "sci fi" aesthetic is so boring. I want BUTTONS, DIALS, A THOUSAND CHUNKY SCREENS, I want spacecraft to look like the advanced machines they are, not cheap toys!

93yo woman is misled by billionaire into believing the car she was scammed into buying is a capable autonomous vehicle, putting herself and others at risk when the misleadingly marketed driver assist program errors.
Sovey@SoveyX

She’s 93. She bought a Tesla Model Y with Full Self-Driving because she no longer felt comfortable driving herself. Now it takes her to church and she uses @grok for navigation. This is what the technology is for.

‼️🇫🇷 The threat actor behind the ANTS breach told us he doesn't want any money, he just wanted to prove government systems are easy to hack. ANTS was breached via an IDOR access control flaw. 80GB of passwords, source code, logs, and PII stolen. We've seen the samples...

@MistaMe0w @Michael_Saxon @LeviBetz What does Musk has to do with the current discussion ? Why are you trying to bring him in the discussion while the topic is about the tech, its limitations and how the legal framework is reflecting these limitations ?

@Michael_Saxon @LeviBetz You conflate the technical abilities of the tech (which are good) with the liabilities issues of operating the tech in a framework it is not designed for. That's why you are missing the point.

@Harvesterify @LeviBetz Great rebuttal. Absent actual facts with a little snark thrown in. This has been my experience since owning this car, so readers can take it or leave it. I tell Grok where I want to go and I arrive with no issues. It is so good, I'm encouraging my elderly parents to own one.

@LeviBetz I just drove 1,500 miles halfway across the country in my Tesla and I didn't have to disengage FSD in any circumstance. The only times I chose to were to better avoid potholes and to express a preference for one side or the other of a parking lot. You are out of date.

@Scobleizer @LeviBetz I barely pay attention and it never has even a small issue. I would 100% trust putting my 4-year-old daughter in the car and having it drive her across town.

@fikocian @erikkulu Currently I have about 50 constellations with probability above 50% in my tracker. They translate into a probability of about 29000 tons to launch by 2035 for about 60000 satellites. Starlink is about half of that. Data center projects are not included.

If you’re curious about what the #Outernet is and how it will function as the world’s first completely self contained global communications network (avoiding dependence on the internet, ground gateways/relay stations and the subsea cables they are dependent upon), these interviews will give you a pretty comprehensive understanding. Of course for security reasons we can’t disclose everything but there’s a lot here that we’ve decided to share:
