@Maks_NAFO_FELLA Not to trash Europe but they will meet in a few days to get a basic understanding of what maybe could be done. Then they will create comittees and sub-comittees that prepare a framework and that will be then outsourced to a dozen consulting companies. In the end nothing happens.

So the CENTCOM has clarified that the blockade is only for ships related to Iran. All other ships are allowed.

@acnewsitics What fucking DEI? Those 4 astronauts are among the very best in their fields. Qualification counts. It's a disgrace to reduce them and their achievements to their skin color and gender. That's exactly why DEI is so evil.

@bruce_barrett Blue Origin's and Soyuz capsules land on land with some thrusters that fire in the last second before landing to make it softer. Crew Dragon and Orion land in the ocean without thrusters. It's just 2 different options to make the landing soft.

So apparently Jeff Bezos can land in a desert and NASA still goes old school with ocean landings. Seems legit to me.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance said that “We leave here with a very simple proposal. A method of understanding that is our final and best offer.” It now appears that the talks have concluded after failing to merit any form of U.S.-Iranian convergence on positions.

In the middle of a historic mission back to the Moon, this Administration is proposing to a 47% cut to NASA science and a 23% cut to NASA’s budget overall. Last week’s launch showed our country and world what we’re capable of when we work together toward a common goal. None of that can happen without support for science and research.

@lookner Sure, and they have a save corridor but only let a handful of ships through and they charge them $2 million for it. Because of the mines, mkay.

US officials tell the New York Times, "Iran has been unable to open the Strait of Hormuz to more shipping traffic because it cannot locate all of the mines it laid in the waterway and lacks the capability to remove them"...is this true? No idea. nytimes.com/2026/04/10/us/…

@ItsTheEnforcer We can't find the mines, therefore only a handful of ships can go through a safe corridor after they paid us. Ok.

@Polymarket Even if there were mines, Iran knows where ships can pass since they let some through. They could just open that corridor but the completely control who goes through and limit it to a handful of ships per day.
