While oil production makes up about a quarter of the GDP, oil exports account for a massive 82% of the country's total export revenues.  An estimated 30% to 45% of Iran's national budget is dependent on oil revenue.

Iran announces closure of Hormuz again. The sooner the U.S. accepts that Hormuz leverage has structurally shifted toward Iran, the better the chances of a meaningful deal.
