It turns out the Prime Minister now spearheading plans to axe jury trials once warned that scrapping them leads to wrongful convictions.
Awkward, @Keir_Starmer.
As a human rights lawyer, he concluded in a 1992 report that removing jury trials had enabled “wrongful convictions to occur in the absence of any procedural or judicial error” in Northern Ireland.
Another uncomfortable revelation that undermines the Government’s push to curb trial by jury — the biggest assault on English liberty in over 800 years.

No surprises there, government makes it more expensive for farmers to produce food. Oil prices are going up because we don't use North Sea oil, agricultural machines use lot of fuel. Inflation is out of control especially food prices.

Damning study results show failure of cycling schemes to deliver benefits for general public. The prioritising of cyclist speed & convenience (floating bus stops, cycle superhighways & LTNs) for affluent 25-55 non-disabled people leaves everyone else calling for greater support.
