The Norse saga combat is so much better than the Greek games I'm shocked it's even debate material. The gameplay to cutscenes ratio is also overwhelmingly in favor of the last two games yet it's them that get labeled "movies".

@Savior_Gaming @jimmychaosmagee idk man. as a PS5 owner i'd argue you have the better of the two at this point. i'm not a fan of cinematic experience stuff so all Sony's done that's appealed to me this gen is Astro and Returnal. i'd take backwards compatibility any day lol

@jimmychaosmagee At I am about to say will piss off Xbox fanboys,and I have one that I enjoy but outside of backwards compatibility and gamepass,there is basically 0 reason to own outside of you just want one. It is realistically the worst major console on the market, tho it is still a good one.

For me I honestly have to say all of them. Each one brings something to the table.
Ps5- has the graphics, sports games, and love the controller
Switch 2- has the best exclusives and remote gameplay is second to none
PC- has not only the graphics but the power to blow away any system. Plus you can find great deals on games and a larger lineup then any console
Xbox - well honestly not sure as I do not own one and they give all their exclusives up so

@jimmychaosmagee i don't understand how anyone could say anything other than PC/Switch after the last two generations. absolutely no appeal to consoles anymore. the Dualsense is probably my favorite controller, but.. i use it on PC more than my PS5 atp lol

ffx is objectively the best final fantasy ever. memorable story, great party, and a gameplay system that works really well for those who love turn based and are new to it.

Mostly failed because Sega just couldn't bounce back after a string of bad decisions made companies abandon their faith in it quickly. That said I think it's definitely one of the most futuristic feeling consoles out there based on context.

@SLAVEKNIGHTX the care center. and though it didn't bother me on the initial playthrough, playing RE4R and then returning to 9 for the DLC.. Leon's movement in that game REALLY bugs me. i think the lack of content has a lot to do with it too.

I think this is a huge reason that some people don't like RE9 because it is a culmination and mix of different styles of Resident Evil instead of it having one constant style like RE7 or RE4R.

A lot of people praise elden ring as the culmination of everything fromsoftware learnt with the previous games, it is that aspect which is why I like it less that the others

My thing with the Nintendo switch is the ability to dock it. The steam deck to me looks like complete shit docked and the performance is awful, idk how to fix it, but the switch is literally plug and play. Just set it in the dock and done

@vishgod69 i always had a lot for the world itself as it was. love learning more about it, all the character interactions and development, everything people typcially label "filler". i prefer stuff like that over 1:1 remakes any day, they just feel pointless to me.

@Shokio_YT well they shut down their main studio that would do that, and they seem hellbent on only allowing their remaining ones to do one of two things: live-service slop, or over the shoulder "cinematic experience" slop

Why doesn't Sony start remaking all the vast PS3 classics that are just sitting there?
Their games take much longer to make than they ever had, and they've lost their 3rd party exclusivity deals.
PS3 games could be safe, extra revenue, and help bridge the gap between releases.
