Accept Jesus Christ Today. There Is No Better Time! We have all sinned and turned away from God, our Creator and the giver of the law. “As it is written: ‘There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.’” Romans 3:10–12 (NIV) Because of sin, we deserve God’s judgment. We are heading toward destruction but God, in His mercy, offered us a lifeline through His Son, Jesus Christ. He died and rose again so that we might not perish but have eternal life. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (NIV) So, turn to God today. Believe in Jesus Christ and in what He has done for you on the cross and you will be saved. It’s not by your works or anything you can do, but by faith alone in what Jesus accomplished through the power of His Holy Spirit. “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Acts 2:21 (NIV) “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38 (NIV) Turn away from this wicked, temporary world and turn to the righteous, everlasting God. Believe in Jesus Christ your Savior, your Redeemer, your only hope.

This man has been seen standing at an intersection in Tzaneen for some time. Someone who regularly notices him became concerned and tried to speak to him to find out where his family is, but he speaks in a way that is difficult to understand, making communication hard. What is especially worrying is that he appears to have a serious wound under his eye and may urgently need medical attention. The situation is being shared in the hope that someone might recognize him or know his family so he can get the help he needs.

So before he died, a Jew or whatever, he started a cult and taught things like: Love God with everything you’ve got. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love your enemies (yes, even them). Pray for people who mistreat you. Treat others with the same kind of love he showed. Very dangerous stuff. No power grabs. No violence. No calls for revenge. Just love, compassion, and self sacrifice, not for good people but for sinners. Some real cult that turned out to be.
Penuel The Black Pen@penuelist_

Jesus Christ was born a Jew, raised a Jew & died as a Jew. He set up a cult before he was brutally murdered, by Jewish leaders. This cult is now known as Christianity.

Police in Bolobedu are asking for public help to find 13-year-old Sabatha Emmy Lebea, who went missing on 12 March 2026. She was last seen around 06:40 at Tshweni High School after arriving for school but is believed to have left the premises unnoticed. She has not been seen since. Sabatha, a Grade 10 learner from Moshakga Village, was wearing her school uniform: a yellow long-sleeve shirt, maroon jersey, maroon skirt, black shoes, and maroon socks. Police say she is dark in complexion, with short black hair, a slender build, and short in height. Anyone with information is urged to contact police or use the MySAPS app.

Innocent’s Take
Innocent’s Take@Innocentstake·
From the Christian perspective, the issue is not that justice is avoided, but that it is fulfilled. If God is truly just, then sin cannot simply be overlooked, there must be a real dealing with it. That is why a sacrifice is necessary. It had to be one who is sinless and without blemish, able to fully atone for humanity’s sin. His death is not for Himself, but for us. Christians believe that this is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and that it ultimately demonstrates God’s love. It is not a case of an unwilling victim, but of a willing sacrifice. He offers Himself freely. “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) So rather than justice being avoided, it is carried out, while at the same time making a way for mercy and grace. James, I think this is where I’ll leave the discussion. I’ve genuinely appreciated the exchange, we could probably go on much longer. I’ll be praying for you, and by God’s grace, I hope we can speak again someday, even as brothers in Christ.

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative see Islam says repentance can lead to direct forgiveness whereas christianity still needs someone innocent to die. thats not justice fulfilled, thats justice avoided.

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative you say grace declares someone righteous before they are. but that’s just a label, not reality. justice is based on truth, not declarations. & saying “God is beyond logic” doesnt fix it, it avoids the issue. real justice cant call guilty righteous & punish innocent.

But Christianity requires repentance as well then salvation through Jesus Christ, “And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38 ESV the only difference is that God fulfils His love and justice through the substitutionary atonement.

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative repentance is before death. Islam says you answer for your own sins, & God can forgive if you turn back sincerely. no need to punish an innocent to forgive the guilty. thats justice and mercy, not a transfer system.

Of course, everyone will account, except for Christians it is not unto eternal damnation because of the salvation through Jesus Christ “Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God;” Romans 14:10 ESV

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative Even if grace is higher than forgiveness, you still need someone to be punished. thats not mercy, thats punishment redirected. justice means the guilty answer for their own actions. if the innocent pays, justice is broken, not fulfilled.

@Jamesputty8 @churchtalkative How do you answer and repent when you are already dead? What is the penalty for sin in Islam such that you can answer God’s wrath and somehow come out the side, dust yourself off, repent and everything is fine?

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative you said no one can stand before God so a substitute is needed. but that destroys justice. justice means the doer is accountable, not an innocent punished instead. islam keeps it simple: you sin, you answer, you repent, God forgives. no guilt transfer.

That’s how not how defined mercy. A Christian is accountable, in the sense that they must acknowledge that he/she is a sinner, who has sinned against God and accepts that he/she deserves the proper penalty of that sin i.e., death and repent. He/she is then justified through faith in Jesus. Accountability is covered, but God, in His love, mercy and grace would have you not perish but provide a way to life through Jesus. This goes far beyond forgiveness.

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative you’re redefining both terms. mercy isnt “punishment still happens somewhere,” it’s forgiveness. justice isnt “someone gets punished,” it’s the right person is accountable. punishing an innocent while freeing the guilty breaks both, not balances them.

this point, I think your argument is starting to mix categories. You’re rejecting substitutionary atonement, but then also dismissing grace as if it’s merely “fake righteousness.” In Christian theology, those ideas are connected you can’t fully separate them and still critique them on their own terms. Grace is not fake righteousness. It is an undeserved declaration that through Christ, a person is counted as righteous by faith. This is what Christians mean by justification: not that a person has already become perfect in their actions, but that their standing before God has been changed. That doesn’t mean deeds no longer matter or that accountability disappears. Rather, it means righteousness is first given, and then lived out. The declaration comes before the transformation. And ultimately, part of the tension you’re raising comes from trying to measure what God can or cannot do by human standards. From a human perspective, this may seem illogical or even unjust but the Christian claim is that God operates beyond those limitations while still remaining perfectly just and good. As it is written: “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” (Matthew 19:26)

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative you say grace is exchange, you give sin get righteousness. but then righteousness is just a label, not what you become. deeds lose weight, accountability weakens, & it still needs someone else to suffer. real grace doesn’t shift punishment or fake righteousness.

Even if you describe it as a “transfer,” it is still mercy, because the sinner is forgiven without receiving the punishment they deserve. Mercy is defined by the outcome for the guilty, their punishment is withheld. At the same time, the idea of a substitute matters because it shows that God is not simply overlooking or ignoring sin. If there is a real moral order, then wrongdoing carries a real consequence. The role of Christ is to uphold that justice, so that forgiveness is not arbitrary or indifferent to evil. So in this view it is both: mercy, because the sinner is spared, and justice, because the penalty for sin is not dismissed but dealt with.

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative saying mercy means you avoid punishment because christ takes it. but that’s not mercy, that’s transfer. real mercy removes punishment, not shifts it. if God needs someone to suffer first, that’s not pure mercy. real mercy is direct forgiveness.

if justice strictly means holding the doer accountable, then that standard would leave no one standing, because no one is truly righteous before God. “If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?” (Psalm 130:3) This is precisely why, in Christian understanding, God provides a substitute. It’s not about ignoring guilt, but about dealing with it in a way that also makes salvation possible. Christ, who overcomes death, stands in the place of sinners, and those who believe share in His life. “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11) So while a purely human view of justice may insist on each individual bearing their own punishment, that would ultimately result in universal condemnation, all of us eliminated, but God chooses to glorify Himself in this manner. What God does through Christ goes beyond what is possible for us, He upholds justice while also making a way for life.

@Innocentstake @churchtalkative you are basically saying sin is punished so justice stands. but if the innocent is treated as guilty while the sinner goes free, that’s not justice. shifting guilt doesnt solve it. real justice holds the doer accountable, not a substitute.
