If my will is for my student to do their homework, and the student's will is to obey me (to do their homework), we both have the same will, namely that they do their homework.

@oliverburdick from pure monotheism, godly ambition means directing glory to God alone, not to someone who is dependent. a dependent being eats, sleeps, learns, grows, prays, and relies on others. that describes creation, not the creator.

You know it's selfish ambition and not godly ambition if the outcome brings more glory to you than it does to Jesus.

@K23295864 @InspiringPhilos by real submission I mean when one will is truly under another’s authority, even if both want the same thing. if wills are identical by nature, thats just agreement, not submission. you cant have real obedience where nothing is actually under authority.

@churchtalkative why would one repent by relying on someone elses death? real repentance means turning to god & asking forgiveness directly. punishing an innocent instead of the guilty isnt justice, its replacing responsibility with substitution.
