GM Cardano community ☀️ This recent part of the budget process has been tough whatever part you play. Emotions have been er.. emotional, and there’s been plenty of criticism. Despite the friction, you can't help feel the shared energy and care. This process, however hard, has hugely deepened our collective knowledge as a community and that imho is really something. I’ve been reflecting on the things I have found out personally in the last couple of weeks just by reading proposals, listening and talking to those participating in the process, from all different perspectives, and what I learned was way more than I could have expected. Who’s building, what they’re creating, how the pieces fit, connecting with new people and, importantly, just how many in this community show up when it matters. It's fair to say it's been far from perfect, and it ain't over yet, but I do believe we’ll be stronger from it.

This is a core subject on Cardano budgets right now and would love to hear DReps perspectives on how they will approach this? Currently as Upstream DRep, we will vote to support the 20million ADA Intersect proposal for 3 reasons: 1. In order to replace their roles as administrator for other proposals it is very likely given my experience, this will cost us more than the 20mil. Its hared to say but I trust my experience in tendering successful startup products in the UK and the US. 2. Intersect have made significant changes in the past 2 weeks for the sole reason to gain community support. Lawrence leaving and Jack taking place is sentiment to Intersects commitment, and talking with Jack on recent budget conversations and spaces he has better ideas (to be clear here I very much respect Lawerence and his way of thinking, and view this change as cosmetic vs necessary, but I see the replacements building upon his work and directly answering community concerns) 3. I am open to alternatives, but I do not have one myself to date, and I am yet to see a DRep who has voted no, provide an alternative? Keep it real, be authentic and give me your real views DReps!

Intersect coordinated a 2025 Cardano budget. Nearly 200 proposals were bundled into one to simplify voting and support core operations across the ecosystem. The process has been messy. There has been confusion, frustration, and legitimate concerns. Still, Intersect pulled this proposal together and put it forward for a vote. Now people want to vote for the proposals inside but not fund Intersect itself. That leaves the proposals orphaned with an administrator with no funds. It's like approving the orphanage but abandoning the staff. Without Intersect, the whole proposal falls apart. Each project will need to resubmit and find a new administrator. So if you do not want Intersect's version of the Cardano budget, why vote on it at all? If you are not funding the structure, you are not supporting the plan.
